England play their 2nd One Day Cricket international against Pakistan at Edgbaston

Anyone that fancies a day of sitting outside on a nice day with your mates getting drunk from 11am to 7pm, international cricket is the correct option.

Give him a break, he's been desperate to cheer something for weeks, and it was never going to be Hibs.

Yeah, winning semi-finals is not for everyone. Even against a team as shite as us...

The first stage of the Tour De France also happens that day in Italy running from Florence to Turin

Don't feel too bad about that one, to be honest.

In the League Cup semi we lacked any kind of plan and were just pushed aside. That was different today.

Rangers didn't really bother us a lot more than we bothered them, and Ifelt there was a clear plan for how Hearts were going to explot them in the wide areas. But when we got into good positions there was a lot of poor decision-making in terms of final pass, and basic errors like poor first touch. To win games like that you need to execute your opportunities, and Hearts failed to do that. But I think we were in the game until the second goal and it was a decent enough punt at it.

You're always second favouritesagainst the OF, and you need things to go right. Ultimately, we lost two unbelievably cheap goals in a game where we were rarely troubled apart from that. But you need to do more when you get into good positions, and that's what cost us.

Could have been worse. It's been a good season and we just need to go and see out third now.

At the stage of genuine bemusement that the TV cameras in Scotland can broadcast a Championship game with 1,200 people and get all “we’re very sorry if the language has offended you” when some old boy goes “f**k sake, ref”, but 25,000 people bellow out about being up to theirs knees …….. and everyone just pretends like it doesn’t happen.

Important to remember that it's a small minority and that loads of Rangers fans are decent folk who would never join in with that stuff and hope to see it stamped out. They really do. .

Definitely.

Although Butland is decent, I think Rangers defence is poor.  What a missed opportunity.  Silva even diving when he receives a goalscoring opportunity, in line with his usual theatrics.

Yeah this is generally what I feel. On balance, Rangers deserved to win but it's not like we didn't have chances and if we'd been more clinical up front and less dozy at the back on another day we might have won

Thought Balogun was excellent today. Best player on the park after a big call from Clement to drop Goldson.

Cantwell, Diomande and Sterling also pretty decent and Butland makes two great saves when called upon.

Really need to be more clinical though, particularly late on where we created a good two or three opportunities to get a third but we lack a real killer instinct.

Relatively even game, I just felt we turned the screw a bit more in the periods we were on top than Hearts could manage in the periods they were.

Sima going off so early is a concern and I hope it’s not a recurrence of his previous thigh injury.

Anything to say about the playlist?
