welshbairn
Given the potential pathways I think I'm going to dump Maryburgh without ever seeing them play, and go glory hunting with Stratton Wanderers. Good choice. Kyleakin away is worth it just for the drive and a chippy up in Broadford before coming home. I personally would avoid the boat trip, I can't even get out the dock without spewing up. Even JoG to St Mary's was nearly too much for me! The Wick Groats route would probably be my choice, keep my feet dry

Was considering stopping the night but the B&B/hotel prices are mental, Then Ness or Barra for the next round.. Mackie The Staggie
Took in the Loch Ness (aka Ballaon) vs Sleat and Strath game today. Sleat won 4-1 after going 1-0 down on a very warm and sunny day. Don't think there was many (if any) surprises today, all the main culprits making it through the first round.
TheScarf
I was at Ardersier v Highland. It was an even first half but the host’s quality told in the end and scored 6 in the second half and ran out 7-1 winners. A decent crowd too, easily 100 there.

The Highland Amateur cup social media puts up the times and venues a few days before each tound, but other than that, you are relying on teams own social media, which is non-existant for quite a lot of these teams.

TheScarf
I'll be at the Culbokie v Ardersier game. The away side have Brora's Jordan MacRae on loan but he's ineligible for the cup. He scored a cracking double in the league midweek and a beauty of a free kick a couple of weeks ago.

invergowrie arab
Is Tomatin a 3pm? I'm wondering if it is possible to take in the game at Maryburgh first and then get down to cheer on the Slèitich
TheScarf
I got very sunburned as I watched Culbokie beat an understrength Ardersier 2-1. The away side guilty, as usual, of being the better side but not being able to put the ball in the net, creating a number of chances, including sconning the woodwork twice, while the hosts scored with the only two chances they created, with former The Caley youth striker Shane Harkness getting the winner with 10 minutes to go. For Ardersier, without the ineligible on loan Jordan MacRae, they really do miss an outlet up top in the cup games.
Sherrif John Bunnell
I was at Maryburgh vs Contin on Saturday. A very enjoyable game in fantastic weather and a decent crowd of maybe about 100. Maryburgh with two cracking goals late on to win it. The wee pub behind the goals was doing a roaring trade with 4 teams playing in Maryburgh that day, Harris had taken a coach load of supporters with them as well. The pub will be delighted that the next round has resulted in 4 teams playing there on the same day again.
