I’m not sure where Barisic was leaving Lundstram that exposed but will need to see it back. For all the talk of the penalty incident, seems like an incident where a foul gets given every day of the week outside the box for it. Don’t think there can be many complaints, even if it’s considered there needs to be a higher degree of a foul for it to be a penalty. Michael Stewart describing it as a coming together is disingenuous. Both players go up and totally miss the ball, but Souttar takes a flailing arm to the face for his troubles. Good to see Sima back on the park and hopefully he will give us a good option, but Matondo also played well when he came on. ETA: I’ve also seen talk online that if both an attacking and defending player encroaches during the taking of a penalty then it’s supposed to be retaken.
