Jastons6
When can we expect the fixtures to be announced?

If results at the weekend confirm Dundee in the top 6, then probably Monday or Tuesday. If not, then at the very least the race will be narrowed down to 2 teams (Dundee and either Hibs or Motherwell). I’d expect the SPFL will draw up 2 sets of fixtures, and release the correct ones almost as soon as the full time whistle goes at Dens next Wednesday (if it goes ahead, of course). Saint DBL
Sounds like a third trip to Dingwall? I know it’s luck of the draw but that’ll be the second season in a row we’ll need to go to a direct relegation rival for a third time.

DumbartonBud
It would be quite funny if Dundee made top six and Rangers ended up getting sent there again, very unlikely I know but the heads gone and statements would be fantastic.

We will need to go away to someone for a third time regardless so there's every chance it could be Dundee if they confirm top 6

If the top 6 isn't confirmed on time then instead of keeping everybody waiting till the spare game finally gets played the top 6 could be determined on "points per game" and we'd all have our fixture list by Monday A precedent has, after all, been set for this kind of thing. In fact given that Ross County vs Rangers doesn't feature in the calculations we could get our fixtures on Saturday night Edited April 12 by topcat(The most tip top)

Don't want our 3 home games advantage being diluted by two of them being against Celtic and Rangers.

Opponents do better at Fir Park (1.63 ppg) than they do when hosting Motherwell (1.38 ppg) although St Mirren are a lot better at Home so it's still worth having But more to the point if Motherwell make it you'll still have at least a 4 point lead over 6th place with 5 games to go Edited April 12 by topcat(The most tip top)

I feel like it's a bit more likely that they end up with Killie and Hearts going to Dundee for a third time, Dundee and Rangers going to Paisley for a third time and St Mirren going to Parkhead for a third time. topcat(The most tip top)
There is now the option of swapping the Dundee vs Rangers game with the Rangers vs Dundee game to give the Dens park ground staff more time to resolve the problems

The Master
So they’re waiting until after Wednesday’s game even though the top and bottom six are already confirmed. https://news.stv.tv/sport/spfl-post-split-fixtures-announcement-delayed-until-after-dundee-play-rangers The reason being hinted at is that the result on Wednesday will influence when Celtic v Rangers is scheduled to avoid it being an outright decider. Which has two problems. The first is that it can be the first post-split fixture without being a decider, regardless of what happens on Wednesday. Second, it’s still pathetic that we want to avoid a winner-takes-all between our top 2, when almost every other league in the world would welcome it.
