I remember when Chick Young retired. Eight years ago.

There's always that sort of shite piece with a "broadcasting legend" doing the voiceover. Unpopular opinions for this pish, but I'd far rather it was Chick than they wheel out Archie MacPherson.

Although obviously my first choice would be neither.

Is it usually a 2 hour build up for the Scottish Cup Final on BBC?

It wasn't last year because it was pumped to half 5. Used to be nearly 3 and never used to be this shite

Yeah, used to be about 12 they started coverage a few years back but that’s creeped forward to the back of 1 in recent years.

Used to be. I'm sure @The Master will probably correct me but the past few years haven't had it, either because it's been diddies or I suppose because of covid problems limiting how much they could actually do.

Up until the mid-2000s, it used to start at 12.10, which is when Lunchtime Sportscene used to start during the league season.

It then started shifting towards 1pm, and has started around that time for years now (except last year, obviously).

I appreciate that this might not be a unanimous viewpoint across all football fans, but when I see hoards of "football fans" roaming the streets in a mob, my mind goes to packs of dangerous dogs, liable to sudden changes of mood and generally p!ssing people off.

Logically, they should be microchipped, on a lead and perhaps even neutered.  🙂

Are they kept in somebody's cupboard?

There's probably a lot of points to go over, the BBC don't give them a lot of coverage during the rest of the season.

That look back at previous finals was very brief. Lack of police horses in it too.

Had almost forgotten the one that Rod Wallace scored in - my mates and I were asked to leave the Argyll and Sutherland in Greenock during that one because we kept going on about how pish the game and the teams were.
