Clyde FC Season 24/25

Trying to buy the 30 day stream pass but after submitting payment details it just goes back to the payment page. Anyone have the same issue? The same happened for the Aberdeen cup game last season.

Hey. New to forum.

Went for years to Broadwood up until 2017.

Just wondering for those that still go to games is it a case of what looks like another long hard season or could McCall maybe actually build something this season. Results seemed to going fairly well (including league cup group) until the 3rd league game.

And you know what horrible run of results Clyde can go on when they cant stop the rot

It's hard to say at the moment. The optimist in me says, on paper, this squad is more than capable of winning games in League 2. Objectively, none of the signings have been bad. Any one of these signings added to last season's squad would've been a good addition. The problem seems to be that there are too many new signings and not enough (any kind) of a plan on how to use them.

The league cup showed this squad can produce a team on the park that'll play well. The league cup also gave us a performance which was a warning for what we've seen in the league so far.

If McCall can decide on a first choice starting line up, consistently play players in their best positions, and let the side settle into a bit of belief then I don't see why we can't pick up results and get involved in the top half.

If McCall continues to mess about with the team, positions, and leaving the team looking like a mishmash of strangers every week then it's going to be a long season. I am leaning more towards a change of manager than continuing as we are, but with the concerns about finances in the last week, I'm not sure how realistic spending some sort of money on a change will be.

So, what did our chairman, who said he'd always be open and make himself available to talk to ordinary fans before matches, say about the rumoured financial "black hole"?

Dunno. He was conspicuously absent in the Fanzone.

He made a rod for his own back when he started giving the supporters the pre-match pep-talk every home game in the bar ('fanzone' my erse). All well and good coming out and blowing smoke up our anuses when optimism and morale are high but not appearing is akin to hiding when things are bad and fans have questions. Not a good look.

Really feel we are at a point where no matter who is the manager, who we put on the park, who the chairman is we are going to be absolutely chronic. Same as it has been for years and years. Really need to take a look at why that is. Even when things look good and their is optimism it goes as quick as it comes

Not too late to turn things around this season obviously but need to think if Mcall is the right man for it. Think he has maybe struggled with part time football.

On holiday apparently he has now stepped down as chairman though continuing as DOF

Really need to wonder what’s happened here. Guys been in post what 3 months?

Since Alexander has stepped down we have seen- Innes, Dishon, Taylor, Thomson, Maitland and now potentially a 6th chairman. With 4 names above including Alexander still at the club.

Interesting statement from club with Maitland stepping down. Clearly has been an overspend - suspect they hoped for a bigger feel good bounce after last season which has not occurred with revenues disappointing.

given the unexpectedly poor start to the season this is not  a good look albeit the sums are probably not large enough to be threatening. That said if form does not pick up there will be nought in the kitty if the proverbial hits the fan.
