McGlovin'
Rees-Moog gone. Good riddance. Labour's vote share only 36% - that must be really low % for such a landslide win.
flyingscot
Mogg out is great. Flynn is a good politician, but let down by Sturgeon fall out, Yousaf and the greens and the average campaign.

Dunning1874
Independents have gained from Labour in Blackburn and Dewsbury & Batley, along with the already mentioned Leicester seat. All going to independents who made Gaza and Starmer's support for Israeli war crimes the central point of their campaign.

MP_MFC
Huffing on that copium that it appears that it’s not so much a massive labour surge in Scotland but a lot of yes / snp support has stayed home for various reasons (at least that’s what I was thinking and vaguely sleepily heard the professor on bbc say similar) so 2026 when it really matters isn’t an entirely lost cause. Cherry and Mogg getting punted was good news. Starmer is going to be so incredibly ineffective at ‘change’ that 2029 is going to be horrific.

They chucked a few Welsh flags, Saltires and brown folk into the mix.

MP_MFC
Tells you all you need to know about Labour that they have Scottish and Welsh flags behind Keef but as far as I can see no English flag but instead union ones.

ATLIS
The difference from 2019 to now is absolutely mind blowing, still seats to come in but that swing is really something.

Cue the Tories asking for a system change, something they have always vehemently opposed in the past. Worth bearing in mind that they made boundary changes and introduced photo ID requirements all to try and boost their chances.

The electoral commission did it in an independent process unlike American when politicians can stick friendly neighbourhoods together
