So many players these days can do the fancy stuff then miss a sitter.

I would just be happy if Scotland had someone who could miss a sitter!

Not have his arms sticking out like that in the first place

I’m no fan of this modern interpretation but it’s been around long enough that defenders should have had enough time to learn

He was running though. Your arms are going to move.

I do think that for handball VAR referrals, referees shouldn't be allowed to make their judgement on slow motion footage. Show the incident at real speed to get a real sense of what is and isn't a reasonable body position and reaction from the defender.

VAR has absolutely shat upon elite/international football games.

Also that's a great bit of skill by Havertz to then sclaff it wide.

Yeah.  You’ve now essentially got two handball rules; one for games with VAR and one without.

Surely you can't get a free hit to foul someone off the ball because the player with the ball had a shot? 😂

This is happening more and more and the “ref analysts” always defend it. Apparently a Portugal attacker being taken out in the box the other night wasn’t a penalty because the ball was 10 yards away. It’s fucking nonsense.

That’s not exclusive to the handball rule.

This game has been pretty enthralling. f**k knows how it's only 1-0. Should be 3-2 or 4-2 at this point.

Players slipping all over the place too.  Tremendous blood and snotters stuff.

The slow motion footage is only supposed to be used to show the point of contact, anything else is at normal speed.

Very silly game of football.  Love it

When you see them showing multiple slow mos and still images before a token full speed replay it clearly isn’t being used the way it’s supposed to.
