What happened to votes for 16 year olds?  It was in the manifesto and would have zero cost implications but isn’t in the legislative programme.

They have 5 years to get this done. It's not in this legislative programme but will be in a later one.

Just as well they didn't needlessly rule out the things that really would raise money, during an election they were always on course to win by a massive majority even if Starmer had slaughtered cute puppies on TV every night of the campaign.

Mmmmmmmmmrhm - its not outright stated but considering the "budget black hole" - i take it its rather likely that there'll be targets (informal or contractual) to trim down the PIP spending?

Hell yeah! No point in raising the top rate of tax when there's loads of folk with disabilities or OAPs who are a pound above the limit for claiming the WFA to go after!

This is awful, and I’ll regret saying it due to the impact, but this is the best thing that could happen to the SNP.  This is what being tied to Westminster means. Might take losing another election, but after that it is so bloody obvious.

You don't get it, you've had your chance and failed miserably.

It's over.

Labour will last one term in English parliament

Once they start taking all the pensioners money

I try to seek out opinions from folk who don't exhibit an obvious pro or anti-SNP bias when judging Scottish government actions. Prem Sikka is a professor at both Exeter and Sheffield university so probably fits the bill.

He's focusing his criticism on Westminster there.

@Jedi2 will be absolutely furious at this betrayal.

What betrayal? I appreciate that Labour only get 2 months to 'fix' the country, while for some other parties I am not allowed to name, 17 years (so far) in fairness, isn't enough time for them to do so...perhaps they 'just' need that extra 5 years to take them up to 24 years in power then it will all be fine.
