WoSFL Pre Season 2024/25

Recommended Posts

First game of preseason season for the Vale today as we ran out comfortable 6-0 winners over Saltcoats Victoria. Great to see several of last year's under 20s get a run out, with two of them getting on the scoresheet.

At home to Giffnock SC on Wednesday evening, should be a competitive game.

Linlithgow Rose 2 - 2 Cumnock Juniors

Thought Cumnock bossed the midfield for much of the game until Rose made hunners of subs then we gained a bit more control. Good goal by McGiff for Lithgae's equaliser.

Good luck for the season 👍

Full Time Result

Carlisle City 1 Threave Rovers 3️

City are in Div 1 of Northern League which sits at Level 9 in the English setup. Five levels below League 2.

I quite fancy getting down there for a game at some point - is it a decent set up?

East Kilbride Th 2-1 Lochar Th

Decent game. Lochar probably had the better chances but the young Thistle boys csme from behind to win.

The setup is worthy of being at the least in the West Prem.

Covered enclosure, good stand, excellent social club, pie hut, etc, etc.

Oh and a grass pitch.

They do hospitality packages in the social club.

Excellent chip shop at top of road.

Have I sold it. 🙄🙄

CD getting better food wise.

Add Street Lights and Scottish Pantry.

The Olive Retreat (used to be Nico's), now open for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Takeaways. Know the new owner excellent food.

Jewel in the Crown, excellent Indian (owners actually from Bangladesh).

Kirkcudbright and Dalbeattie have a bit of catching up to do.

Watched Irvine Meadow draw 1-1 with an average looking Johnstone Burgh team yesterday, thought we looked the better side with Baird causing Mullen all sorts of issues. Should have won, but late goal wrongly disallowed imo.

Then took an absolute doing this morning from Glenvale, finishing 5-1, a few changes in the lineup, but, not a result I would expect for us.

Need to tidy up our sideline too, not a good look today.
