There is a team work and fluidity to it all that enables teams to get players into the box and defend without losing their shape. One of the reasons Scottish football is so poor is no one is available for the ball half the time. We play like the ball is infected with the plague and the worst thing that can happen on the field is actually receiving the ball. Popular Post King Kebab Posted July 15 Popular Post Share Posted July 15 (edited) In Turkey at the moment and yesterday was horrendous prematch, the amount of too tight engerlund tops stretched to maximum over fat gammony bodies, every bar and restaurant swaying under the racket of “it’s coming home” and “vindaloo”. We ended up heading back to the hotel earlier than usual and there was still a fair few in there watching the game, wife went back to the room and I decided to grab an EFES, grab a seat at the back and watch the second half, glad I did it was glorious!!! I noticed that there was another guy about 10 feet away from me who did the same thing I did in trying to ram a full pint into my mouth and not choke myself when Spain scored with the ends of a huge grin sticking outside the top of the glass, we raised our glasses to each other and carried on watching. The turnaround in the viewing punters when England equalised was noticeable, all of a sudden they were the greatest team in the world again and were “ going to show those dagos who they were… etc, etc”!!! Resigning my self to another half hour of ET I went and got another pint, hadn’t got back to my seat and those wonderful Spanish fuckers scored their 2nd. They weren’t coming back from that, so I necked my beer, raised my glass to my new friend, who returned the gesture and went up to my room, happy in the knowledge that they’d fucked it again!!! Came down this morning to the pool, it’s still busy but oh so much quieter than the last couple of days, joyous. The music started and I kid you not, the first song that came on was “Yes Sir, I Can Boogie”, I happened to look across the pool and there returning to his lounger after visiting the barman with the MP3 player, was my friend from last night and we greeted each other with the biggest cheese-eating grins as the rumble of discontent from around the pool eventually quietened!!! Isn’t amazing how you can make friends through football!!! Im away down to see if the boy will put on “Y viva Espana!!!
