Bully Wee Villa
I like both, tbf. At least Winter Olympics Milan/Cortina should have its events on at a sensible time.
Groundhopping Adventures
Haven't really been able to watch a Winter Olympics since Sochi so looking forward to Milan
HibeeJibee
Unfortunately both LA 2028 + Brisbane 2032 will be less amenable viewing times. US finish top on Silvers... although North American media rank by total medals anyway IIRC. GB's lowest finish since Athens 2004 - probably a few reasons: Lottery funding that ramped up from 2005-2012 has fallen back; more nations have started investing similarly (particularly Japan/France/Australia eyeing Tokyo/Paris/Brisbane); new sports added we've less tradition in; 14 Gold against 22 Silver/29 Bronze reflects many near-misses whereas Japanese... and DutchΒ ...Β 'over delivered' at le crunch.

Baseball-Softball and Cricket want back in again (latter understandably given Australia tbf), also Netball though this causes an unusual equity issue given there is not a mens program to speak of.Β However we then enter very odd territory with Lifesaving, Team Frisbee, Trail Running - which I think is basically orienteering? - plus Rugby League want 'Rugby XIII 9s' which surely won't happen.

Β Looks like the summer Olympics is rotating between Americas/ Europe and Africa/Asia in terms of timezones so should get one in 2036. I also suspect the big events like athletics and swimming in LA will be scheduled for primetime on the US east coast so might not be too late so maybe ending 2am instead of 5am.Β

Bully Wee Villa
Having Athletics in the opening week is mental. That tends to produce some of the most memorable moments, they risk making the second half of the Olympics an anticlimax.
