But seriously, people used to discuss the big news stories, what was going on in the world, big sporting events, stuff that was on tv. That just doesn't seem to happen on general nonsense any more. Yes, sometimes because its moved to sub forums, but also because it means the more specialist posters tend to not participate as much in the general ebb and flow as they used to.
