The McCann are not your normal people, not even normal Doctors, they know and socialise with high/powerful people. They can and did manipulate the press from day 1. Maddie was sick and didn't want to be left alone for another night (when the parents got pished up). Dr Jerry slipped a few valium, to make her rest. When he went back, she was dead. How and where they got rid of the body, I'm still investigating.
