Boo Khaki
Classic England would be 550 all out, restrict Pakistan to 300'odd, get skittled for 80 in their 2nd outing, and Pakistan to knock off the runs inside 4 days
Savage Henry
Pitches like these do the sport no good whatsoever.
Fuctifano
It would be funny if England scored 650 in 4 sessions and still somehow lost tho
jaggyness
Pitches like these do the sport no good whatsoever. Was just coming on to post exactly this. It isn't even particularly good viewing seeing batsmen able to leave most deliveries from seamers as there's so little movement and spinners get clubbed all around the ground.
peasy23
A sniff of a chance for England as they get a couple of quick wickets to leave Pakistan at 475-6. ,
peasy23
7 down as bad light brings a halt to the day with Pakistan still 158 behind on 499.

Teams get fined for having too many wickets go down due to poor pitch conditions. They should get fined for having pitches like this as well. That being said, England have shown a bit more nous in this final session. The way they play, you can see a result just as likely as a draw.
peasy23
6 wickets for Will Jack's on debut as England finish with a first innings lead of 78. England obviously going hard to build a big enough lead to have a go at winning the match, but they've just lost a 3rd wicket with the ball getting the slightest of flicks on Crawley's glove, originally not out but given by DRS.Lead now 174.
peasy23
Root decides to bat left handed just for a laugh. And nearly holes out first ball. [emoji23]

Boo Khaki
It's admirable that England are trying to force the pace and give themselves a chance of a win, but they're also playing Pakistan back into the match. As soon as Pak got close to the England 1st inning total they put themselves in the driving seat. This will look great if England manage to roll them and seal the win, but they're going to look like complete morons if Pak knock the runs off. peasy23
That's certainly a bold declaration by Stokes, 343 to win sounds a lot but there is still lots of time left to get them.

This England team is becoming increasingly likeable.
peasy23
It's amazing how many experienced batsmen will walk straight into the trap that has been set for them. First wicket down with Pakistan on 20.
die hard doonhamer
25-2 now, but Azhar Ali has also retired hurt after taking one on the finger. Perfect start for England. Scotland have Nepal 132-9 after 39 overs. Chris Sole the pick of the bowlers this time. eta: 137 all out now Edited December 4, 2022 by die hard doonhamer

die hard doonhamer
Scotland beat Nepal, but it was a lot closer than anyone would have liked. A 3 wicket victory in the end (albeit with 17.5 overs remaining, time was never an issue). Namibia again tomorrow, and then Nepal on Thursday. Victory in both of those fixtures will seal the CWCL2 title with 4 games to spare. Edited December 4, 2022 by die hard doonhamer
Savage Henry
Some test match this. Full credit to England. Bazball is a heck of a way to provide entertainment.
Fuctifano
Yeah, some finish, I thought England were toast with 80-odd left and 5 wickets in hand.
