Fuctifano
Threat seems to have gone from Mo, whether the ball isn't doing it any more or whether he's tiring but don't see a reason to keep him on.
Mark Connolly
That "moving the bails" pish is going to become a regular thing, isn't it?
Fuctifano
Well if England don't win it from here there's not much else to blame, between this and Edgbaston Edited July 31, 2023 by Fuctifano

Savage Henry
Said it before and I’ll be saying it for a while, fair fucks to both teams because that was a fabulous test series.
Salvo Montalbano
Two fairly evenly matched sides so a drawn series probably fair enough.

Two best sides on the world by a distance. England will probably have more regrets. Hope Amazon has a camera crew following Australia around this tour.
Moomintroll
Test Cricket really is an incredible sport, no idea how people cannot appreciate that.
Donathan
England the better side across the series for me, let down by the weather at Old Trafford and the completely unnecessary declaration at Edgbaston
Jim McLean's Ghost
Agreed that England blew it but the Aussie attack was massively downgraded without Lyon.
Boo Khaki
Only cricketer in Test history to hit their final delivery faced for Six, and take a wicket with their final delivery bowled. Think England probably edged the series in terms of performance, but Australia were really underwhelming I thought. They're definitely not as lacking in talent as some of the shitey sides that Michael Clarke brought on tour, but they didn't really have a day where they were totally dominant. Possibly yesterday as close as they got, and even then it was only two sessions, and in a losing effort anyway.
HTG
England played by far the best cricket through the series. They also played the worst. Absolutely compelling series - possibly the best I've ever seen. Stuart Broad - what a finish. Moeen Ali - excellent finish for him too. May well see a fair break up of the England team over the next 12 months but Broad and Anderson will go down with the greatest bowling pairs in the history of the game.
btb
Series drawn, Australia retain The Ashes but England (& Wales) won the moral Ashes!
Fuctifano
Does mean Warner, Khawaja, maybe Smith and definitely a couple of the Aussie bowlers will go their entire career without winning an Ashes series in England. Michael Clarke, Siddle, Johnson etc never managed it either. Who was the youngest of the 2001 team, Brett Lee? If so at 46 years old there's no one younger than him that's done so. PauloPerth
Brilliant series. England deserved to get the draw. Could have been even better if Manchester had played to a finish then we had this one going down to the final innings with just 12 runs in it .. But great entertainment the whole time.
peasy23
Shaheen Afridi wearing red playing against a team in green is just plain weird.
peasy23
Don't watch much of the Hundred, but Southern Brave were going nowhere tonight until Chris Jordan clubbed his way to 70no from 32 balls.
craigiemack
Reports in the Telegraph saying that the Netherlands are hoping to be included in the restructered t20 blast and one day cup. If this creates an extra space you'd like to think that the Saltires could be revived to compete aswell.

Hopefully those now in charge make sure we’re in there before the Dutch!
