MB
I don't think there's much between Broad and Bresnan with the bat. Sure Broad is better but not by enough to be worthy of inclusion in this test imo. Broad is the more clasical batsman of the two, but Bresnan is likely to score more runs. India have shown that with disciplined line and length bowling in these conditions, it is not easy to score. I hope when he eventually gets his chance, Broad at least bowls with a modicum of consistency after his poor form against Sri Lanka.
Savage Henry
Anyone else hoping India are on the receiving end of a terrible LBW decision, just because if their preciousness over referrals?
FauldhouseJambo
I believe you're a decent player as well then, just like your dad!!! Although last time we played Fahoo I caught him out and caught and bowled someone else. Aye i'm learning from the best
berwick-the-unbeatable
Anyone else hoping India are on the receiving end of a terrible LBW decision, just because if their preciousness over referrals? Nope! Broad will only get in form by batting well. He doesn't return to form by bowling well.
Cowden til i die
Anyone else hoping India are on the receiving end of a terrible LBW decision, just because if their preciousness over referrals? Well well much confusion surrounding Morgans dismissal. You can sense many people are unhappy with the DRS not allowed for LBW purely because of 1 nation and their inability to work the system properly. Joke. Good knock from KP, he needs to hang around and score 150+ to get England circa 450.

A lead of 188 in the first innings, England are well on top.
magoo82
Just a pity they dropped Dravid twice on 42 or it could have been a lot better. England will still be delighted with the current position though.
Lex
Surprised England haven't declared yet. Indian bowling attack is really flat without Khan but if Tendulkaar is fit they could hold out for a draw.
Savage Henry
Surprised England haven't declared yet. Indian bowling attack is really flat without Khan but if Tendulkaar is fit they could hold out for a draw. With Tendulkar they could win this test. England, thanks to Broad, may well be securing a draw here. He's been the player of the test so far. And if he played like this all the time, would be an essential part of the England team. England might have to step it up soon though. EDITED TO ADD; this is fun now, Broad having a field day. kullibino
simone wilde in the sunday times today rated the england and indian teams out of 10. england won by a couple of points england won in categories of opening batsmen, pace attack and spinner. wicket keeper and middle order were draws so prior is as good as dhoni and trott, kp, bell and morgan are even with sachin, v.v.s, dravid and rainia. oh dear. Still want Dhoni over Prior?
Savage Henry
Still want Dhoni over Prior? What the hell was Dhoni doing at the end there? Have to say, England have been magnificent so far.
Bobby Skidmarks
Priors been the man of the match for me so far. His second innings was especially impressive. I still feel this has the potential to end up a draw unless they get a few quick wickets early tomorrow, -

Savage Henry
Bump. So England got the win, and it's now on to Trent Bridge - usually the best cricket track - for the second test. England currently 71-2 with Pietersen and Strauss looking to settle in.
drs
Vaseline a go go in the Indian dressing room so rather nice to see Harbijan screwed by a bad call in the middle of Broads hat trick - that'll teach you not to have a review system for LBW Although in all seriousness it's a shame that such a bad call has been seemingly ignored in the hype over the return of the messiah Broad.

Broad has been sensational in the last two tests. It's a far bigger story than India getting screwed by their own preciousness. Brilliant series so far, test cricket at it's very best.
drs
Oh i say, thats not cricket but I'm still sniggering at Bell and Morgan for making a pigs ear of it.
mozam76
The outrage on the BBC TMS regarding that out is brilliant, Tufnell especially. Dunno what they're complaining about. He's out, surely?

Savage Henry
Bell is claiming he heard "over" called C'mon lads, dont come back out after tea - lets see what happens then And he did. But after the bails were removed. Rather classless cricket by India there. Next session is going to be testy.
