peasy23
45 overs of the supposed 90 gone and England still need 8 wickets to win, Sri Lanka 258. Pitch still as flat as a billiard table.
booitsme7
2 wickets have fell after tea leaving England needing 5 more wickets to win with about 30 overs to go.
booitsme7
11 overs to go 10 with a new ball and England need 4 wickets. Last wicket was P Jayawardene after a overturned review.
booitsme7
Infact England do not take the new ball straight away. Edit - After just 2 balls the new ball is taken. Edited June 16, 2014 by booitsme7

Carl Cort's Hamstring
Was considering heading over to Lords this morning, but looked out the window and it looked like it was getting ready to hammer down any minute so I decided against it.Thank God we didn't win it there or I would have been furious with myself.

There's something wrong when its all about the winning.

If it wasn't for the World Cup then I'd be properly kicking myself, but the football is adequate compensation.
Savage Henry
So with Sri Lanka struggling a bit at 229/7, now seems to be an opportune time to ask; is that the Ayris Hybrid advert with the guy singing Horse With No Name supposed to be funny? I genuinely can't tell.

die hard doonhamer
He's now the fourth player to take two test hat-tricks. The first Englishman to do so and also the first to do it against different opponents.
mjw
Only 11k tickets sold yesterday for the first day is pretty poor,it wont put Headingley high up the list for future tests. The reaction on TMS to everyone missing Broads hat trick was unreal.

I seem to recall ticket prices - which I would have thought would be set by the ECB but seemingly aren't - being an issue there before. Even then, you are going some not to sell out a test match in England.
