Given the NRR situation we could do with Sri Lanka beating Zimbabwe tomorrow.

We absolutely have to beat Zimbabwe in the last game but if SL win tomorrow we might be able to get away with a loss to Netherlands depending on run rate and their result vs Oman.

If Zimbabwe win it opens up the scenario where we win both games but go out on net run rate.

Was actually shouting in the last few overs for them to finish it off quickly but presume Munsey getting out spooked them a bit in case there was a total collapse.

I assumed we were playing Netherlands next but it's Zimbabwe. As said, SL are giving them a bit of a doing at the moment so if they don't collapse or slow down then that can only help us.

I feel like they should be giving a warning if they're going to attempt a run out for that. Poor from the Aussies.

Yeah.  That’s poor play. A dead ball is a dead ball.

It wasn't a dead ball though.

20.1.2 The ball shall be considered to be dead when it is clear to the bowler’s end umpire that the fielding side and both batters at the wicket have ceased to regard it as in play.

Carey threw the ball at the stumps almost as soon as he had it in his hands, so he certainly didn't seem to have ceased to regard it as in play.

It was, however, clear that the batsmen did.
