In a tight game would it be possible to do a review on the final ball to ensure that it is a dot ball? If so, the opportunity to do so hasn’t been presented to Australia yet, presumably.

That would be pretty amateurish. Big Virat would find a way to get runs from earlier taken off them.

No, it was only a dot because the on field decision was out. If the on field was not out, the run would have played out before the fielding team could take the option to review.

The Indian team didn't seem to take a great deal of pleasure from that. Not surprising. That was comfortably their worst performance. The fielding was just horrible to watch. To win that game by just 7 runs when they should have skittled England for about 100 runs less was sloppy in the extreme. Ever the perfectionist, Kohli will be giving himself chinese burns in the dressing room afterwards over that performance. Still, in the cold light of day, they have won all 3 formats. They were always going to stroll the tests, but to beat England in the 2 shorter formats is not to be sniffed at.

Yup, the cigars should have been out an hour earlier. Some absolutely nonsensical stuff in the field [emoji23]

Not the biggest fan of the Australian men’s Test, ODI and T20 sides but the women’s squads are a different story. Yesterday they defeated NZ by 6 wickets in Mount Manganui to set a world record of 22 ODI victories in a row. With games on Wednesday and Saturday at the same venue there’s every chance it will be 24 in a row.

Day one of the county championship. Only 2 of the 9 teams batting first have managed to get through the first 35 minutes without losing at least a wicket.

Watching bits of the Lancashire game on their FB page, the ball is moving all over the place in the conditions.
