peasy23
Lovely to see that this means as much to the European girls as it does to the English and Scots. Bollocks to anyone who wants to see us separate from the EU.Where's that not sure if serious meme?I have had genuine arguments with two workmates who thought that Brexit would mean British players would no longer be able to play in the Ryder and Solheim Cups...

The European teams at the Ryder Cup/Solheim Cup have nothing to do with the EU. Suzann Pettersen who sunk the winning putt is from Norway who have never been members of the EU.

peasy23
50 years ago today since "The Concession". It's stuff like this that reinforces why Jack is the GOAT.
pozbaird
Played out of my skin in our medal this week. Shot 76 -13 = 63. Some fcuker in the last two groups of the day playing off 15 came in with a 76 - 15 = 61, knocking me into 2nd place. I will find him, and I will kill him.
Mark Connolly
People can win as many Majors as they like, Jack will always be the greatest ever to play the game. Total class.

Mark Connolly
Another stunning effort from me yesterday where I stood on the 16th needing a par and 2 bogeys to secure a cut to my lowest ever handicap. Double, double, quadruple later, and it's another 0.1. Stupid fucking game.

Anytime I play a good round with a card in hand the last few holes are generally played with the really positive thought of "don't f**k this up".

What made it worse was I had actually fought back to that position after spanking it OB off the first tee!

I tend not too, I generally know if I have a decent score on the go and fear I'll jinx it if I tot it up.

Not really, but I have a good idea how many pars I have had, which is usually a good indicator. If I have a good start, I tend not to count anything. If it's a bad one, I try to work out how many extra pars I will need to get to buffer/level.

Mark Connolly
The real challenge I find is that I have a total inability to make par on the holes where I don't get a shot! The quadruple the other day was on one of them.
Benjamin_Nevis
I went out in 36 (+2) yesterday, decent as I usually struggle on Kirriemuir's front nine. Easy par at 10, then ripped a 4 wood up the right half of the 11th which bounced sideways intonation Bush, pen drop = bogey. Next hole, a decent 7 iron took a huge flyer off the green trickled over the back and rolled into a ditch drainage pipe = double. 13th, big drive, high 8 iron which drifted slightly, caught the top of a huge tree and eventually bounced backwards 50 yards short. I was then completely blocked from the pin by the same tree = double. Walked in [emoji23] Golf [emoji23][emoji23]
JamieT1314
Hit 50 for the first time round mearns castle, 6 shots better than my previous best. Just hit irons off the tee and kept me out of trouble much more.
peasy23
A handy 200k in the bank today for Richie Ramsay with a T6th finish at the BMW Championship at Wentworth. Bob McIntyre T26th, Russell Knox T46th, Scott Jamieson T57th and David Law 72nd were the rest of the Scots who made the weekend. A lot of decent Race to Dubai points for some of them, Ramsay and Law especially.
