Either way he's has a great season and he will no doubt edge further up the world rankings. I notice Connor Syme did manage to hold on to his top 15 slot as well so that's another 2 to add to the list for next season. Pity that Ewen Ferguson fell away after a decent start, hopefully one or two Scots can make it through Q school.

Calum Hill 2nd.

peasy23
MacIntyre up to 73rd in the rankings now.Top 50 by the end of the year, or more realistically by the week before the tourney, gets him into the US Masters.
Distant Doonhamer
MacIntyre up to 73rd in the rankings now.Huge progress for MacIntyre. A tremendous effort. Knox down to 100th in the rankings so MacIntyre comfortably our highest ranked player.

Richie Ramsay recovered a bit to finish on +1 for the day, and that was enough to end up in 58th spot and heading for South Africa next week. Looks like Jamieson is on the entry list for this week. Presumably because of people ranked above him who aren't in the field.

Presumably because of people ranked above him who aren't in the field.Half of the top ten aren't bothering to make the trip, including Lowry, Rahm and McIlroy. 76th on the list is in the field so there are quite a few opting out.
peasy23
The madness of Q school starts on Friday with 6 Scots in the field.
peasy23
Been a mixed bag so far for the 3 Scots in the field at the Nedbank in Sun City.Robert McIntyre started with a round of 73, but had a bit of a disaster yesterday with a 76 that included 3 bogeys, a double bogey 7 and a quadruple bogey 9. He bounced back today with a 65 that lifts him to T21 on -2, but 9 off the lead.Scott Jamieson is level par after going 73-71-72, and is currently projected 67th on the road to Dubai and will miss out on the final tourney in Dubai.Richie Ramsay is on +4 largely due to the 78 he hit yesterday, which also included a 7 and a 9. He is right on the cut off point of 60th in the rankings at the moment.Daniel Young is best placed Scot at Q School after the first 2 rounds of 6, he is on -5 and is T13th, with the top 25 and ties after the 6 rounds getting their tour card.
Distant Doonhamer
MIxed fortunes for Scots in the PGA event in Mexico. Martin Laird has missed the cut. Russell Knox should be through currently right on the cut line at 1 under. Fantastic effort by Calum Hill who is there on an invite. He’s currently tied 12th with 2 holes to play today. Brilliant effort.Play was washed out on Thursday so still 2 rounds to go. Edit to add Knox did make the cut. Fantastic 66 for Hill who played his back 9 in 31 shots. Great effort [emoji106]

Mark Connolly
That last leaderboard had him up to 11 in the R2D standings, which means he is projected to overtake Kitayama. Great news in the rookie of the year context
