Bring Back Paddy Flannery
Watched Bob’s press conference before the Australian PGA and he basically said he’s going all in with the PGA tour this season. He’s taking his Mrs with him to live in Orlando and said he wont be trying to juggle two tours. He said his first DP event will most likely be the Scottish Open. And he confirmed his first PGA event will be the Sony Open in Hawaii at the start of January.

Can't blame him, bigger money and better ranking points that will get him into all the majors if he plays well. A couple of good tourneys before the year ends can get him into the top 50 and a Masters invite.
peasy23
Level par round for Bob with a stone cold putter, missed good chances on 15 and 18, but he should be in for the weekend ok. His two Aussie partners having mixed fortunes. Minwoo Lee leads on -12 after a round of 66, Cam Smith has only 5 players below him on the leaderboard after 73-78 sees him on +9 and a very early exit.
peasy23
Minwoo Lee hits 4 rounds in the 60s to finish on -20 and win the Australian PGA by 3 shots. Connor Syme will be disappointed to hit a level par round on Sunday to finish on -10 and T13th. Calum Hill closed with a 66 to end on -9, while Grant Forrest and Bob MacIntyre were T33rd on -5.
peasy23
Thriston Lawrence started the final day at the Jo'burg Open on -15 with a 3 shot lead over Dean Burmester. Thru 5 holes he is now on -11 and 2 behind him.

To go round in 13 more blows than his first round is some going.

It was an absolute shocker of a round, and it's not as if he was searching for his first win as he has 4 with the 2021 Joburg Open among them. Scott Jamieson was down on T37th, Stephen Gallacher was close to the lead after an opening 66, but was over par for every other round and ended up T61st.
peasy23
There were also 3 Open spots up for grabs in Joburg.

Caledonian1
Rory McIlroy beats Tiger Woods to PGA Tour's $15m Player Impact Programme top prize - BBC Sport I had no idea that this existed.........$15m for pretty much doing nothing........how on earth can there be a $150m prize pot for this nonsense, surely there are better ways of distributing surplus cash? Would be good if Rory gave it all to junior programmes or such.

The money should be added to tournament prize pots across the year.

Ignoramus
Shouts for US captain? There was a lot of speculation around Woods but he seemed to shoot that down at his presser in Bahamas
funky_nomad
Jim Furyk is President's Cup captain next year, but he hardly set the heather alight in 2018 to indicate he'd get a shot on home soil. Fred Couples could get the nod.

There was a lot of speculation around Woods but he seemed to shoot that down at his presser in Bahamas There's really no one obvious if Tiger's not doing it. Looking back through the past few teams, most of the ageing stars who might have been captains went to LIV (Phil, DJ, Reed, Bubba - the latter would have been pretty funny given how eccentric he is). If it's not a repeat of someone who's already done it then you're scraping around at the likes of W. Simpson, Kuchar, Cink, Snedeker, etc. Not exactly inspiring... Then you have old guys who never got asked before like Duval, O'Meara and Couples.
