Lost ball with tee shot at first and another penalty drop at 2nd. Then played the rest of the round from 8th in level par with 3 birdies. Double bogeyed 10th with another penalty drop yet did back 9 in one over par 37. I went out in 39 (+5) after a shambles of a front 9 which featured a double from the middle of the 4th fairway and a shank on the 7th having mashed a driver just short right of green, I ended up holing a 20 footer for bogey on the easiest par 4 on the course. Hit a wedge on the par 3 8th to about 5 feet, which I holed with the aid of a deflection off a badly cut old hole, 3 putted the 9th after two excellent shots to the heart of the green into the teeth of a near gale, before playing the next 8 holes in -2.
