I think the major will evade Uncle Andy as mentioned earlier but his attitude is first class he will just plod on giving everything in every game and keep believing he can.

Hoaching on the Matchplay now although difficult to see anything but a Taylor/MVG final with them on opposites sides of the draw like the Worlds.

Quite an exciting announcement just made from the PDC.

A new competition, to be pushed as a 'major', called The Masters which will take place at the Royal Highland Centre in Edinburgh The Masters November 1-3 this year and for the next 3 years.

I'll defo be going along to this. Top 16 players in the PDC Order of Merit in a 3 day tournament.

Not often we have a tournament like this on our doorstep.

Aye, that new event looks good. November's turning into a busy month for darts with that, the Grand Slam and the Players' Championship.

Good to see ITV pick up the UK Open after Sky decided to dump it from their new contract.

Pedro Wright is playing awesome darts probably a top ten player on current form.

In reality, he isn't too far from becoming literally a top ten player. Up to 20th in the OOM now, with just around £14,000 between him and Jenkins in 16th.

He could quite easily find himself inside the top 16 by the end of the World Matchplay. Or maybe even sooner!

It really does make you proud to be a Scot............

SCENES!

Big Mensur has just beaten Wez 6-5 in Gibraltar a result in all which guarantees he's at the Matchplay.

He hugged Wez and the officials in a kid at Christmas manner he looked over the moon clearly knew what that meant.

Webby beat off Paul Amos today as well he's struggling big time this year being beat off nobodies on a pretty regular basis.

Finnan put out Whitlock as well.
