G-MAN
How could the TMO think the English player touched that ?????
peasy23
I'm far from an expert on rugby but to me that isn't a try, but the commentators seem to think it is. Same for me, I didn't think he had his hand on the ball at any point while the ball was on the ground.
John Lambies Doos
Welsh guy had absolutely no control on that ball. No try was right decision although for completely different reason than officials ruled
John Lambies Doos
Referees defaulted back to not penalising crooked scrums since blip last week

John Lambies Doos
He doesn’t have to have control of the ball. Laidlaw 4 yrs ago murrayfield against England. No control no try
Jmothecat2
Again my ignorance of rugby coming through here, but is it not downward pressure they need?

John Lambies Doos
Again my ignorance of rugby coming through here, but is it not downward pressure they need? Controlled downward pressure... not an arm flap. Rules are very clear on this

John Lambies Doos
The law now (I think) is downwards pressure I was unaware it had changed. Are you sure?

G-MAN
The term is grounded. You either ground it or you don’t. He did. Try all day long.
G-MAN
Remember the try wasn’t given because the TMO said the England player got there first. No other reason, grounded, pressure, control. Whatever. That didn’t come into the decision. England player touched the ball first my arse.
Allan Jacobsen
2 hours ago, John Lambies Doos said: Parrise needs to retire. Phenomenal player but past it Parisse has had a couple of lengthy injuries lately. He had an operation on his left calf(?) towards the end of last year. He was also out for a month before that with an injury to his right leg or arm. I can't remember. My French/Italian is as rusty as my memory. He was also harshly sent off not long before that and suspended indefinitely (it ended up being 3-4 weeks if I remember correctly). He hasn't had much game time for Stade in the last few months so he's understandably rusty. Still a handsome devil though. Alert Mongoose
May be because I don't follow rugby much but to me there seems to be lot of forward passes go unpunished.
