GAD
I guess we will probably play Ireland in the 3/4th place play off? Would be great to win that.
Leggy Blonde
Shot ourselves in the foot every single time we got into good positions. Hogg missing touch there at the end just summed it up. George Turner when we came on missed his line out throws and gave away a penalty. Not much between the sides except poor execution from us.
GAD
I think France always looked like they had a try in them and we didn't, and for me that was the big difference. Both teams made shitty mistakes, and both teams defended reasonably well, but we just didn't carry enough threat.

Apart from giving you go-forward, it also creates space elsewhere as they set their defence to look for him.
John Lambies Doos
Not too bothered, I want a crack at the Irish in aviva tbh

Turner is a liability. Up against the best team in the 6 Nations with Weir at 10 and and undersized back row a losing bonus point is probably a decent outcome. Plenty of times in the past we have made up for being outmuscled with some Finn and Hogg magic and intelligent play. That didn't happen today, the backs were dire and Ritchie and Watson didn't make any impact on the ground. Hogg is a flake as i've said before being mid 20s but clearly on the decline is affecting him. He's still obviously a great player but nowhere near his 2016-17 level. Jaco needs to start in the final game. Weir offers nothing.

Matt Fagerson does a lot of things well at 8, but making yards over the gain line isn't one of them.Another thing they picked up on at half time was that France were out early doing some physical drills with tackle pads etc obviously looking to be up for a quick start to the second half, and that was how it panned out.

That's a big Shaun Edwards thing. "Get off t' fooking line" as Goodey and Big Jim would say.
Detournement
Bryan Habana going for the Freddy look. I like it.
Detournement
Serge Betsen was some player. Betsen, Magne, Harinordoquy was an awesome back row.

I’ve said it before, and it remains true: he’s a throw back to the amateur days as a non athlete who worked really hard to get fit. He’s basically a fat lad. He’s a great story in application, but he lacks any real flair. Hogg is as flakey as they come. He could almost be a French stand off.
John Lambies Doos
All in all I'm not too disappointed. That's a decent French team and without a creative stand off we were going to struggle to score trys. What was pleasing was that we really fronted up to them and defensively we are decent. Result will probably mean we play Ireland on finals weekend who really are a pretty poor just now, I'd rather have a shot at the Aviva hoodoo and leave Twickenham until next year. Kinghorn and Fagerson aren't internationals, either is Duncan Weir but we will have ample replacements for them come 6nations.Hogg needs to calm down a bit tbf, far too many brain farts
peasy23
Glasgow went behind but have responded with a good move and try by Bryce, followed by a monster penalty kick by Brandon Thomson to lead 8-7. Have they played any games this season that the weather wasn't horrendous?
Mark Connolly
Jean Kleyn is just a typical South African 2nd row thug. Never wraps his arms, and just targeting players on the ground at every breakdown.
Mark Connolly
Ben Healy the latest in a long line of dislikeable Irish c**t standoffs
Mark Connolly
Great shot there of the Munster tighthead clearly driving up, but still getting the penalty. I really don't understand why they don't use TMOs to look at illegal scrummaging. It's potentially just as dangerous as high tackling or not using the arms

come on shire
Who genuinely got excited when Danny Wilson was made head coach? Who genuinely got excited when Kelly Brown joined Wilson's coaching team? What does Sean Kennedy bring to the table? What captain worth his salt gets sin binned for cynical fouls that give the ref no option?
