afca32
Brilliant game between Watsonians and Boroughmuir, finishing 35-29. Some quality young players in that Boroughmuir side, none moreso than Rhys Tait who I'd expect to be involved with Glasgow soon if he keeps playing like that.
Detournement
I'm watching Clermont Vs Racing for Finn. Relatively quiet so far but the 19 year old Racing 9 Le Garrec is superb. The ref is comically lenient.
Detournement
They just showed Camille Lopez's boaby bulging out his boxers in the dressing room at HT. Top 14 is class.

honestly united
Scott Cummings out for 6-8 weeks after surgery to hand injury. Thats a blow of the AI's. Glasgow team for this weekend, that back line looks good, would rather Tuipulotu in for Grigg, but players cant play every game now so good to have Grigg in for a run. Glasgow Warriors (v the Lions at Scotstoun, Saturday 3.05pm): C Forbes; K Steyn, N Grigg, S Johnson, R McLean; R Thompson, J Dobie; J Bhatti, F Brown, M McCallum, L Bean, R Gray, R Wilson, R Darge, J Dempsey. Substitutes: J Matthews, B Thyer, M Walker, R Harley, M Fagerson, G Horne, D Weir, S Tuipulotu. Unavailable for selection: Simon Berghan, Sebastian Cancelliere, Scott Cummings, Zander Fagerson, Oli Kebble, Tom Lambert, Kiran McDonald, Ewan McQuillin, Domingo Miotti, Ali Price, Ratu Tagive, George Turner.
Detournement
Lock is the weakest position for Glasgow so a huge blow for them. Gray hasn't been playing for Exeter and Toolis is out so the second row looks wide open for the AIs. Good to see Dobie starting and Matt Fagerson back playing. Grigg will hopefully have shed his lockdown pounds.

Why wait until 2027 though?

We might see the 6 Nations bring the rule in before then
Detournement
Ospreys gubbed at home by Sharks and Ulster steamrollered Bennetton in Belfast. The fixtures over in South Africa might mix things up but it looks like the three big Irish teams will be winning most weeks and hopefully Glasgow can stick with them. With less international clashes and fewer players in the Scotland squad than usual they should be able to keep a fairly settled side. Nae aw naw it's Frisbee and Thomson time this season. Detournement
The ref seems to favour Glasgow here.
Detournement
10-6 at HT. Glasgow with good play in attack but also a lack of control. Dobie has done a lot very well but the Lions are a tough opponent for him.

They are defending well enough, but it's going to break at some point.

The Lions all looked like seasoned pros so a good win for a Glasgow team with a lot of inexperienced players.

ajwffc
Uruguay are 13-8 at HT (29-27 on aggregate). Winner qualifies as Americas 1 loser plays Chile to become Americas 2(loser of that enters the Final Qualification Tournament as Americas 3)
ajwffc
A 34-15 win for Uruguay over USA qualifies them for the RWC as Americas 1. USA will now play Chile for the 2nd qualification spot.

Detournement
Glasgow have signed a giant Tongan winger. With McKay and Cancilliere still to arrive the plan must be to develop him. I also saw Danny Wilson calling for McLean and Darge to be in the Scotland squad. I expect they will be but there are plenty ahead of them in the queue for caps and i'd like to see them against Leinster, Exeter and La Rochelle before they play for Scotland. Caps should be hard to earn now we are improving and we have DVDM, Graham, Maitland and Steyn on the wing and Watson and Ritchie for 7 with Bayliss in the wings.

DVDM and Maitland won't be available for the Tonga game though, will they? Also as good as he is, Maitland is 33 now, so there is a bit to be said for trying out some of the younger guys, and McLean has been playing well for me. Agree about the back row though. Ryan Wilson seems to get better everytime I watch him just now as well.
