Beer Festival stuff absolutely cleared out, glad I got in early. I love how Aldi just see's a brand name and then rips it off.

I just love the beer culture there. Did you purchase that online or is it in the supermarkets in Scotland?
Craig fae the Vale
Decent wee New England pale from Barney's as part of my Aldi haul. Nothing groundbreaking but very drinkable.
Father Ted
Quite a dunt. 8.5% from this little beauty. Lovely afterglow. Highly recommend.

Agree about Antwerp, been a couple of times and the local beers are excellent. I enjoyed the koninck brewery tour too.

I fancy heading over there as soon as we are allowed to travel. Anyway I'm currently on Gose to Hollywood made by some Danish brewery. I picked it up in Marks & Sparks earlier. It's quite nice. It's sour and tart with a strong, but not overwhelming, orange flavour.

Craig fae the Vale
Deftones collaboration from California's Belching Beaver. Big, flavourful IPA. I like it.
Fratelli
Went gluten free about a month ago so have been trying the various different options available, this one is a GF take on a German helles lager. Really enjoying it and it's probably my favourite out of the ones i've tried so far, alongside Estralla's GF offering. Although it's not cheap so i can't see it becoming my regular choice. vikingTON
Aldi appear to have ordered about 500 of each variety and gormlessly looked on as they ran out; all of the dark beers were gone by yesterday evening here. Tried the Loch Lomond Galacticus 'milkshake IPA' but like most of their range it was non-descript. Generic IPA is generic IPA. Got a couple of bottles of the Raspberry Carronade which is nice though not quite as tart as I remember from before and quite aggressively fizzy.
Craig fae the Vale
When I see a beer called Juice Springsteen, I have to buy it. Pretty good, very tropical, but a bit light. Bought from Ellie's Cellar in Helensburgh, cracking wee shop for anyone in the area, they had a really good selection.

A bit bland TBH.
vikingTON
Well if the Greenock Aldi is anything to go by, the reason for that could lie in the roasting hot, useless mini shop lights that they have right next to stock that should be kept cool at all times. Absolute amateur hour stuff.
Craig fae the Vale
Fairly decent citrus IPA from Stewart. Heavy on the grapefruit, which makes it pleasantly bitter.

Heavy on the grapefruit, which makes it pleasantly bitter.I had that lastnight and was impressed by how much lemony flavour they got into it. You didnt happen to check the ingredients? I had meant to go back and see if they had put any actual fruit in it or if its all from the hops
