atfccfc
Continued with my trip and a sixth game. Tonight was at the Parkenstadion to see FC Køpenhavn V Silkeborg IF. FCK opened the scoring in the 1st minute with a quick attack down the centre and a pass through from Vicker Claessen to Johannesson who made no mistake from six yards. After that, FCK had a lot of the ball bit kept going backwards rather than for the goal! Much to the frustration of the home support who were very nervous with Midtylland breathing down their necks for the Danish title. They were to relax a bit when Johannesson finished a cross from the right on the hour mark. But then Silkeborg came out of their shell and started to play a bit and got a goal back when Tengstedt scored a screamer from 20 or so yards. FCK spent the rest of the game hanging on, but came away with a 2-1 win in front of 22796 fans. Which I thought was poor considering they are going for a title. Another great atmosphere which the 750 Silkeborg supporters contributed too. One game to go..
Marten
West Calder United 2-5 StoneyburnAttendance 75That was a nice trip for a Wednesday night. Around 20 minutes, Stoneyburn took the lead, but West Calder equalised about a minute later. Around the 40th minute exactly the same happened so it was 2-2 at half time. Ten minutes in the second half the guests took the lead again. Midway through the second half, a West Calder player got booked and then kept moaning at the referee so he got a second. After that, Stoneyburn scored a fourth. Stoneyburn's sub goalkeeper (first GK went off injured) pulled off a good penalty save after which they scored a fifth. A very entertaining game for a neutral.
Crow
Aston Villa 1-2 Liverpool @ Villa Park on Tuesday night. The home side ahead after 3 minutes but Liverpool quickly level. They won it in the 2nd half with a Sadio Mane header to keep their quadruple hopes alive with only 4 games to go. Crowd 41,919. Wasn't going to bother with any games tonight but a lovely evening so bugger it went to Beechwood Park for the first time. Whit a game. Officially nothing to play for but a superb game of football. Cracking night, cracking ground, cracking folk, cracking scoreline. Not a record for me as I've seen a 9-2 before but still brilliant. Highly recommend a visit Love Beechwood Park. What an excellent season they have had on the field too.
atfccfc
Last game of my trip and I headed over to Fyn and its main City Odense to see OB V Viborg FF in a Superliga bottom 6 clash. Both teams were well matched going into this tie with only a point separating them at the top of the bottom 6. They had drawn 1-1 twice in Viborg this season and the Visitors had won 3-2 in the previous game here. The match had an end of season feel to it but still proved an entertaining contest for the most part. OB started the better and had all the chances, forcing the Viborg keeper into a string of saves. But as is typical of a game like this. It was the visitors who took the lead with a swift counter attack and fine finish. The lead lasted two minutes as the Viborg keeper took out the striker who converted. A fine atmosphere again from the 6786 fans in attendance in a very nice stadium. Not a bad trip for my first European trip in over two years. 7 games, 19 goals, 1 red card and 2 penalties.
Andy groundhopper
My F.A Youth Cup run comes to an end at Old Trafford, Manchester United v Forest. An excellent game,3-1, amazing crowd of 67492 Inc 5,500 away. Forest had decent chances to take the lead and responded well to going behind - thanks to a howler from Videk in the United goal. Controversial penalty with the foul outside the box 2-1, then Garnacho claimed a double late on. Journey began with Walton & Hersham v Corinthian Casuals (1-5) back in August.

Marten
Arbroath 0-0 Inverness Caledonian Thistle, ICT won after penaltiesAnother trip to Arbroath for me, I couldn't resist some Friday night football, only a short journey so why not? Not exactly a great game but a good atmosphere. Arbroath just couldn't finish their chances.

Craig fae the Vale
Dumbarton AFC 3-1 Castle Rock FC. Not a classic, but definitely worse ways to spend a Saturday morning.
Craig fae the Vale
Vale of Leven AFC 4-2 Kirkfield United. A good cup win for the Vale Amateurs, especially after going down to ten men early in the second half. Not strictly random as they are our amateur team, but I don't get to see them very often so here they are.
Jute
Penicuik Athletic 2-1 Linlithgow Rose. Complete contrast to Tuesday night gone from being soaked to basking in the sun. Penicuik winning but so did Tranent so Penicuik miss out on goal difference. Nicky Reid at Penicuik scoring a double today has impressed every time I have seen him. First goal was particularly good finish. Be interesting to see how he does at a higher level.

Le Tout P'ti FC
Dalkeith Thistle 0-3 Kirkcaldy and DysartA one sided affair, K&D were much better. A lovely ground though.A ground very close to home! It's a lovely ground indeed. A wee shame all of the trees around the perimeter have been felled now. Safety first, since they were showing a nasty habit of falling over.It was Bonnyrigg again for me today. Four weeks in a row now, with a fifth to follow next weekend. Not so random perhaps!
