  1. Davidson choosing to try and step up and play Hester offside there is fucking insane, got away with that massively. The shock pad under the park plays a big role in the bounce of the ball. It was a no expense spared installation, which is why it’s so good. We’ve gone to shite here. Half time has come at a good time.
  2. Bowie not being able to kick it with his right foot not only an issue at the other end of the park.
  3. Good move, that. Great awareness from Baird to head the ball back across the goal and big Ziggy there to stick it away.
  4. Aye. He’s back until provisionally January but I’d anticipate he’ll be here til the summer.
  5. Made the right choice staying in the house for this, I think. McKay at wing back is a bit of a blow and if Elgin are to get anything tonight I’d anticipate it’ll be from that. He was fine at centre half on Saturday but a wing back he ain’t. Good to see Allan and Victoria back in the squad. Baird finished the game on Saturday strongly, if he can keep having that sort of impact we’ll look pretty strong going forward.
  6. Kieran Bowie is worth a punt for just about anyone in Scotland. Signed by Rangers at the end of my first season but managed to get them to loan him back to me til the end of 20/21. Turned down Crystal Palace and Hibs.
  7. Never been that arsed for Scotland, though I did go to the Cyprus home game and it was alright. Would far rather we won the league than Scotland qualified for the euros.
  8. They’ve certainly got the rovers injury curse absolutely nailed.
  9. Tait has compromising photos of you, doesn't he?
  10. Watching The Terrace from Friday. Your young team comes across really well in the wee segment they had. Are old folk really against them? These young boys going to the games should be applauded, not victimised.
  11. What a strange thing to say. He’s won back to back league titles?
  12. What the actual f**k is the point in VAR when they don’t give a penalty for such an obvious hand ball? Has there ever been something which has been so poorly implemented in football before?
  13. Bizarre question put to Ian McShane in the post match interview. Basically asking him if it’s frustrating that teams come and sit back and let Falkirk try break them down. Why would teams do anything other than that?
  14. We did really well today. Even in the first half we dominated possession and a 1 goal lead was the least that we deserved. I'm really glad Gullan got the goal before half time and the team got applauded off the park because if it had gone in 0-0 I'm pretty certain it'd have been a completely different response. I love us being so strong at home but it makes it all the more baffling that we still look fragile on the road. We are undoubtedly a stronger side than the Stranraer's and Peterhead's of this world but away from home the gulf in quality is far less prevalent and we end up dropping stupid points. Our home form is not in question; if we can just turn a portion of those away defeats and draws into wins we'll be onto a winner. Gullan finally looked like a Premier League player playing in League 1. Every time he had the ball he looked dangerous. Not sure if it was just his influence on the game but does he look bigger? I'm sure he has filled out a good bit from last season. Him and Baird looked dangerous and I'm keen to see more of them. Bowie was dangerous as well but drifted in and out of the game as you'd expect from a 17 year old. Baird looked like a different player after he scored and hopefully he can really kick on. Everything crossed that Miller and MacDonald can recover for the next league game. Them both being fit plus the imminent return of Regan Hendry and Joao Victoria makes us a different, far stronger proposition. I know it's early doors in the season and I've had a few pints, but I just can't shake the feeling that we're onto something with this squad.
  15. Gregory and John Baird's interview is fucking glorious. That combined with John McGlynn's cheery demeanour has me feeling all love towards all things RRFC tonight. This is the season. Fucking come on!!
  16. He’s really excellent at that drifting inside, shifting the ball and hitting it instantly. Gives the goalie no time to set.
  17. There doesn't seem to be any way to extend the loan of a player who has signed a PCA. For example, I've signed Ross Munro to join at the end of the season on a free; he was on loan at us for the first part of the season - but it's now January and he's due to return to Ross County and I can't offer to extend the loan, it just comes up saying he's already agreed a contract.
  18. “Can’t be any worse” is always a good excuse. And for avoidance of doubt - they definitely can.
