Where was Hutchinson today? -
It is ridiculous that lower league clubs have to employ a Doctor to attend games but that is a rule at the moment, and clubs are well aware of this. Fully qualified first raiders surely are sufficient backed up by ambulance if required. Prior to next season, the SFA , Highland and Lowland league's must publish details of clubs who hold Bronze licences, clubs who will achieve licences prior to the season finishing and also clubs who have no intention of ever meeting the requirements. We should not have another instance of a club being so badly treated as Brechin ever again, and I am a For far fan.

If a reserve team is not allowed to be promoted , surely the league runner up , and holding a bronze licence, would enter the playoffs. I cannot understand how Brechin have not now been placed into the play off position. An absolute disgrace for the football authorities and Buckle Thistle to allow this to happen.

Dicks strategy, join club, sign expensive players, have some success, success falls, money all gone, blame players, fans ,board etc, get sacked, get new club, restart. -

I've tried standing or sitting in different areas of Station Park and also tried watching away games from different viewing points and have just realized that I've been basically watching the same game all season. I wonder if changes could be seen from the top of the Mert roof ? -

I'm afraid that what has happened has been seen too many times before. Money coming into a club which is drying up, a manager who demands to overspend and is allowed to before he is found out. Ideas above their station for a relatively small club and fans that jump on the bandwagon until wins dry up. Enjoy the ride that you have had but get real in Div.1. -

A very reasonable, sympathetic and considered post. At the end of the day, team management and Directors can only do so much with the cards they are given. Supplying a better hand is down to towns supporting their local team at the turnstiles. Cowdenbeith, Berwick, etc., clearly didn't. -

Lots of praise quite rightly for every player last night but the Manager cannot be forgotten. Brought a mix of young and not quite so young, mainly local players, got them fit and playing together as any Forfar team for many years. -

SPFL Clubs raising the drawbridge?
terracingtam replied to ExiledLichtie's topic in Scottish League 2 General Chatter
Agree fully, an absolute mess caused by premier clubs with no thought for others and 'LL directors with pound signs in their eyes. Stop the premier reserve teams, save money, and expect others to fix the problem of giving their players games. -
SPFL Clubs raising the drawbridge?

Rubbish! It's "minnow" part time Clubs that have worked hard to meet the required standards expecting others to do the same rather than commence a general decline. -
SPFL Clubs raising the drawbridge?
terracingtam replied to ExiledLichtie's topic in Scottish League 2 General Chatter
There should be no ambiguity at all about meeting the standards. Clubs with the ambition to join the senior league's should ensure that they reach the standard or realise that they will not be accepted even if they do finish as Lowland/Highland league champions. Why should Clubs that meet the current standard continue to meet the costs when others dont.- 108 replies

Hutchison quietly just gets on with the game. One to watch for the future with DUFC or higher. -

Actually despite that, our goals against is not too bad, the problem is that we don't score goals. Far too much spent on midfielders/defenders and not enough on improving the failing alleged strikers. -
A Jim Lister/Big Sanny lookalike would certainly create more of a threat in the box than we have just now. Andy appears to be the only player to look to against the opposition giants in corner situations. Hight is not the be all and end all for strikers as Baird, Hilson have proved but in Div. 2 nice passing has to have an end result.

Strikers don't grow on trees I know but surely there must be someone available who can give some presence up front or even stay on there feet.
