  1. I predict a strong start in the league, a 5 or 6 game winning streak at home and a couple of scalps away from home before results dry up around the end of November. Patchy wins between then and the total collapse at the turn of the year. Hope I'm wrong.
  2. Caps have brought in Dmitri Khristich as coach, will be interesting to see how they get on with an experienced head doing the job full time as opposed to an inexperienced player/coach.
  3. Can vouch for GolfBidder personally, I bought a set of Ping G10 irons from them about October. Playing a few weeks ago and one of the shafts broke, returned the full set and as they couldn't find a suitable replacement shaft they refunded me in full. I'd had 7 months and probably 40ish rounds out of them. Took the cash and bought these. Those Wilson clubs look like they would do the job just fine, nice and neutral and I'm sure they'll be forgiving enough. Only other argument for the second hand argument is something second hand from a big brand like Ping, Callaway, TM etc will hold their value better and if you get into it and fancy a change or find something else might be better suited, you'll probably get more of your investment back for them. On another note, I played the Torrance course at the Fairmont in St Andrews today, weather was absolutely grim, but thought it was a cracking course and enjoyed it despite getting a soaking. Bit of an bizarre incident, I've never really encountered the snootiness associated with golf for a long time but met a couple of bunnets today. Caught up with four folk in front who were playing pretty slowly at the par 4 7th, waved me through after one of them spent a while looking for a ball, played through them quickly, putting out before the four of them, thanked them and got out their road. Came up short on the next hole which is a par 3th and was just pitching the ball onto the green and when they came up to the tee and one of them started whistling and gesturing at me to hurry up, I was by no means playing slowly. Continued shouting and waving about like a fucking loony when I was putting, made sure to take the flag out and take my time sizing up the putt much to this ghoul's bemusement. Nobody in front of them and nobody behind me, not sure what their problem was to be honest. Was looking forward to discussing it with them at the end of the round, but the weather got the better of them and they chucked it after the 9th hole, fannies.
  4. Was at Rammstein in Prague last night, show was in Slavia Prague's ground. Absolutely phenomenal as expexted, what a day.
  5. Was playing on Tuesday night, hit a nice 7 iron shot and the head of the club flew off. Place I bought them are going to reshaft it free of charge and check the rest of them which is nice. Out last night with my old set, easy 9 iron shot and the thing breaks in the same place! Never happened to me before then twice in two rounds.
  6. Was off work for nearly two weeks and managed to play a couple of different courses. Fereneze in Barrhead. Pretty hilly but a good track and some nice holes. Got plenty of run on the tight moorland fairways which made it a bit kinder on a windy day. My best round of late with a 91 but with dreadful putting. Lochgelly, nice wee course. Only paid £10 for my round and it was money well spent. A tight course and I didn't hit very straight but thought greens were in good nick for the time of year and the cost. Very quiet and played with a couple of very friendly members which was good. Putting was spot on, only 33 putts. Shame about the rest of my game! Falkland, really flat and pretty short 9 hole village course which I played round twice. Thought it was quite fun and a bit of a confidence booster after some rotten play of late. Second hole was shortened to a par 4 because of an ongoing football match on a pitch which forms part of the hole! Airthrey/Stirling Uni, little 9 hole par 3 course. My girlfriend has been wanting to try golf for a while so we went up here for a knock round. Was really busy but a nicely kept little course which was good fun. Nearly got my first hole in one! Hit onto the back of the green, rolled back down and must have circled the cup. Balbardie, Bathgate, as above. Little par 3 9 hole course. Was only 4 bucks, good fun and in decent condition given the cash. Would probably play it again before the one up at Stirling.
  7. Was watching the live coverage and they were actually on board with his car at the time it happened. It was an absolutely brutal impact and I feared straight away that it might be even worse than it has turned out. Hope the laddie makes as full a recovery as he possibly can.
  8. I've bought a couple of cars from them over the years and never really had any particular cause to be annoyed with them but reckon some branches are probably worse than others. Car salesman as a species need to be pretty reprehensible to be any use at it. I find all the added nonsense an unnecessary inconvenience. Shite suits, annoying music and all the free scalding hot coffee you can handle. Last car I bought however, 32k miles, admittedly 5 years old. Clutch was slipping if you really tried to get a shift on. I noticed it within the first couple of days of owning it and took it in for them to look at. I knew it needed a new clutch but was expecting the usual, "They do that mate" argument but in fairness to them they admitted it straight away and got it in a few days later for replacement. Does make you wonder the worth of any kind of mechanical inspection they carry out though. I'm sure that wiped out any profit they made on that car though as the cost of clutch and flywheel alone were over £450. Parks are without a doubt the worst mob I've ever dealt with. Nearly 200 bucks paid for a major service on an 18 month old car. Got the car back with the book stamped (in the wrong place) and the only service it had had done was a bucket of water chucked over it.
  9. For a minute there I thought that was someone's jeb end stuck in there. Oh wait...
  10. My penis is slightly below the average size when flaccid. When erect however I'm right on the mode figure. I'm also uncircumcised. Ladies PM me for photos.
  11. It is fucking grim. It does however have a nice wee 9 hole golf course, named Douglas Water. £6 for a round in the honesty box. Lesmahagow is the grimmest of them all, inhabited by 13 fingered degenerates. Lanark and it's environs are god's country.
  12. I tap it to get through the barrier in Glasgow. I've never bothered tapping it on the validator thing when I get off, been using it since September and not had an issue. It is pretty decent to be fair. There were quite a few issues at first where their system had a whitey and nothing could read it, no such problems of the last couple of months though. Main complaint is the shitey website for renewing the season ticket on it, absolute dugmeat.
  13. I don't understand the logic of this actually. Presumably you'd have been happy when the UK voted to leave the EU? Taking decisions away from a European parliament and bringing them closer to home. The whole concept of nationalism sits uneasily with me. I find it divisive. I see no differences between myself and the people we seek to separate from. I'm comfortable as British and Scottish. I voted no last time unsurprisingly. I wasn't convinced by the economic arguments put forward and felt that for a large section of those on the Yes side the decision was underpinned exclusively by patriotism and anti-Englishness. I think the whole subject and the nonsense from the protagonists on both sides is hugely tiresome. This thread is a better read than any others to date and plenty reasonable voices on both sides, I'm not trying to be antagonistic in anything I've wrote.
  14. You've done more to help the "no" cause than most pro-union campaigners.
  15. Had a piece and tongue for my lunch the other day, delightful.
  16. On my drive to my old work I used to semi-regularly see a cat being ejected from a first floor window by it's caring owner.
  17. I like to think the maniacs on this thread are unrepresentative of the forum as a whole.
  18. More vague talk from Sturgeon and the SNP on how exactly the scenario she's hell-bent on would be realized. I just love constitutional wrangling and playing the blame game. Don't think we've had anywhere near enough of it in recent years between Sturgemond and Farage and co.
  19. Feels like Spring is in the air this morning, just a wee bit.
  20. Imagine the roles were reversed in this holocaust of an advert? Bloke discovering the stunning object of his desire was a scabby wee tart with a moustache. There would be a fucking outrage.
