  1. Just the previous ten years? Whats the point in that if Rangers were supposedly at it 15 years ago?
  2. Read that in court that one of he bidders will walk away fom buying Rangers unless the Ticketus deal was voided. Eh, what has that to do with the case...thought it was supposed to be whether Rangers were due the money or not...not ehat will happen if they are due the debt
  3. Gave up on the 5live love in, what a waste of time. How about actually some serious questions and debate instead of a wee dinner party...must have been lamb on the menu..
  4. So effectively no-one wants to deal with Whyte but they want to take over the club, and also want to give him nothing. I completely understand why they wouldn't want to give him anything...but surely Whyte actually only wants someone to give him money to sod off?! What happens then if Whyte refuses to 'give' the club away?
  5. Completely ready for a day of nothingness. The players will take the cuts, normal staff will go and the admin men will move the non-movable deadline till the middle of next week. Cant say i'm surprised, its the same admin chat we've heard before.
  6. Dont know if anyone saw Reporting Scotland when they were reporting from Hampen about the non-OF teams meeting to discuss the voting structure and cash split....apparantly we're all kicking Rangers when they're down and ganging up on them... The other way of looking at it (the correct way) is that the other clubs have a great chance to try and get a democratic voting structure in place and a more reasonable split of any monies!
  7. Does the statement from the admin men mean that unless a buyer pops their head up before Friday then they'll swing the axe? Is two days really going to make any difference?
  8. I just cant help but think that this is nothing more than another smokescreen from the Duffers. Surely it would be a more attractive proposition if the wage bill was lower if there were HMRC bills? I'm still convinced they'll come out of this smelling of roses.
  9. I thought that any player wages cuts would still result in redundancies? Surely wage cuts with frees in the summer wont help make the club an attractive proposition to any new owners....they'll need a whole new team! It all stinks, the whole thing. I sincerely hope that HMRC and the likes give these admin people a real grilling about whats been done in the last 20 days or so...that alone has cost them a fortune. I'm sure the Pompey (and shortly Port Vale fans) will be wishing these guys were in charge of heir admin....
  10. Thankfully i'm back at work tomorrow and wont have to sit and watch Sky Sports all day for the inevitable delay in any news. I reckon i can be home, changed and have my scran in front of me before any developments hit...the wife can sit in the kitchen for the soaps..i need the big telly for this one :-)
  11. Shambolic from the admin guys, its not going to help the team at all as they will have their heads up their arses worried about their jobs. If they manage a win do the players still get bonuses???
  12. I'm now beginning to believe that the auditors are allowing no redundancies as they'll have gate money tomorrow (but why are the S.Ts still valid if they need cash that badly?). Given that Celtic will be there, unless its a title decider(!!!), two weeks later i really wont be surprised if there are no playing redundancies at all.
  13. well, if the admin are going to do what they said they would then they'll be making the decision for them (which they should have done anyway).
  14. Apologies, this coming Monday after the Hearts game. What i meant by that is that McCoist is trying to keep as many players as long as possible and any further delays might give him this weekend. FWIW i believe that this should have been dealt with long before now, cant believe they're still racking up losses.
  15. Would this impact any potential redundancies? Surely £3m in the bank would save some jobs? Cannot see any redundancies today, surely they'll be trying to wait till Monday...after the game?
  16. It would be interesting to hear their reasoning for taking so long to try and mitigate costs. If i was a creditor i would be asking why nothing has been done as yet. Surely HMRC cant be too chuffed either?
  17. If i was asked to take a 75% pay cut and continue working i couldnt afford to do it, i'd need to try and find something else. Unless the players were on top money then id imagine they'd be the same...they'll have bills to pay and like many players will not have access to any savings for a few years as they may in fixed term return accounts. I'm also not surprised if the players have rejected an 'offer' to let them play for nothing till the end of the season. I cant see anything other than redundancies today and if what i heard on 5 live this morning is true then if the players cant agree on what ro do and McCoist wont advise the admin me then the axe will be swung pretty deep...
  18. If its as bad as its made out to be then i would be hoping for even more, especially given the news that their failure to hand over the £80k to us has had such an impact. I did see that an MP had likened it to theft and dont think its far from the mark, if i collected money on behalf of someone else and then refused to give it over i'd expect a visit from the police. Maybe clubs should be demanding ticket monies are recieved prior to the games - no money received, no away fans let in?
  19. Did i see something about the Rangers players voting against accepting A deferred payment of their salary?
  20. My thoughts exactly. If i was to find out that the Pars opted for the easy option with Rangers then i'd be looking at not taking up my season tocket next year. Its already a shambles for any supporter of a non OF team due to complete lack of competition but this would just finish the league completely.
  21. I'm amazed therse not been a further press confrence with the admin men. So many stories, rumours and dirt being raised and nothing official being communicated.
  22. Just noticed that Pompey have made 30 people redundant since going into admin 6 days ago. Are Duff and Phelps hoping that Dave King or A N Other come in and save the day...or do we expect that very few players will leave and everything will miraculously resolve itself in a few weeks...with all the debt gone?
  23. I'd have thought that the admin men would have had another conference by now...must be one today or tomorrow surely? The lack of any info must be a bit concerning for the Rangers supporters, or are they going for the 'no news is good news' approach??
