So effectively no-one wants to deal with Whyte but they want to take over the club, and also want to give him nothing. I completely understand why they wouldn't want to give him anything...but surely Whyte actually only wants someone to give him money to sod off?! What happens then if Whyte refuses to 'give' the club away?

Dont know if anyone saw Reporting Scotland when they were reporting from Hampen about the non-OF teams meeting to discuss the voting structure and cash split....apparantly we're all kicking Rangers when they're down and ganging up on them... The other way of looking at it (the correct way) is that the other clubs have a great chance to try and get a democratic voting structure in place and a more reasonable split of any monies!

I thought that any player wages cuts would still result in redundancies? Surely wage cuts with frees in the summer wont help make the club an attractive proposition to any new owners....they'll need a whole new team! It all stinks, the whole thing. I sincerely hope that HMRC and the likes give these admin people a real grilling about whats been done in the last 20 days or so...that alone has cost them a fortune. I'm sure the Pompey (and shortly Port Vale fans) will be wishing these guys were in charge of heir admin....

Thankfully i'm back at work tomorrow and wont have to sit and watch Sky Sports all day for the inevitable delay in any news. I reckon i can be home, changed and have my scran in front of me before any developments hit...the wife can sit in the kitchen for the soaps..i need the big telly for this one :-)

I'm now beginning to believe that the auditors are allowing no redundancies as they'll have gate money tomorrow (but why are the S.Ts still valid if they need cash that badly?). Given that Celtic will be there, unless its a title decider(!!!), two weeks later i really wont be surprised if there are no playing redundancies at all.

Apologies, this coming Monday after the Hearts game. What i meant by that is that McCoist is trying to keep as many players as long as possible and any further delays might give him this weekend. FWIW i believe that this should have been dealt with long before now, cant believe they're still racking up losses.

If i was asked to take a 75% pay cut and continue working i couldnt afford to do it, i'd need to try and find something else. Unless the players were on top money then id imagine they'd be the same...they'll have bills to pay and like many players will not have access to any savings for a few years as they may in fixed term return accounts. I'm also not surprised if the players have rejected an 'offer' to let them play for nothing till the end of the season. I cant see anything other than redundancies today and if what i heard on 5 live this morning is true then if the players cant agree on what ro do and McCoist wont advise the admin me then the axe will be swung pretty deep...

If its as bad as its made out to be then i would be hoping for even more, especially given the news that their failure to hand over the £80k to us has had such an impact. I did see that an MP had likened it to theft and dont think its far from the mark, if i collected money on behalf of someone else and then refused to give it over i'd expect a visit from the police. Maybe clubs should be demanding ticket monies are recieved prior to the games - no money received, no away fans let in?

My thoughts exactly. If i was to find out that the Pars opted for the easy option with Rangers then i'd be looking at not taking up my season tocket next year. Its already a shambles for any supporter of a non OF team due to complete lack of competition but this would just finish the league completely.

Just noticed that Pompey have made 30 people redundant since going into admin 6 days ago. Are Duff and Phelps hoping that Dave King or A N Other come in and save the day...or do we expect that very few players will leave and everything will miraculously resolve itself in a few weeks...with all the debt gone?
