The SPL are worse than useless, their vote is pointless as they've slithered out of making any decision and will place any blame on financial fall out on the SFL. Effectively the SFL are stuck between a rock and a hard place but i'm not, Sevco in sfl1 and i'll not be back to East End and i'v already ot my season ticket.

Any contract that has specified either cheek of the OF needing to be in the top 6 is reason enough to sack Doncaster, the contracts breach any fair attempt at competition in the league. As many have said, what would happen if Green or Blue didn't get into the top 6? As for Rangers being in the SPL next year they don't have to win the 1st were they in it...its all getting restructered remember so they'll only need to finish 3rd or 4th, but if they don't... Additionally the Sky deal runs till the end of next season and as such would need to be renegotiated, any chairman who is using season 2013/14 money to budget now has some real issues.

If this were to happen then they would maybe preserve some sponsorship money but they'd effectively kill the other teams. In saying that I wonder how many fans would actually go through with their threat to demand ticket refunds or not attend? I'd be amazed if it happened, the backlash against those who had previously said 'No' would be massive. The vote may be closer but I still reckon it will get the five required.

Cant believe that St Mirren would go into liquidation if Sevco go to div3, sounds like chairman are trying to get soundbites out to the SFL to try and scare them into letting Sevco into div1. No SFL club will go to the wall whatever happens(as a result of this anyway) and if the SPL clubs adjust accordingly then that should also be the case. If, as has been reported, a number of the sponsors walk due to clauses then Doncaster should be sacked immediately, negotiating contracts like that is treating all clubs with a lack of respect. Any sponsor who would walk away also would be questionable, the damage to their own reputation would be worth more money than it would cost them to see out the deal. The threats are all posturing and i really hope that they are told where to go at the votes/ meetings. As a Pars fan my club have indicated their intention, if Newco are voted into the SPL then i'll follow until we reach that level, if they are placed in the SFL at any level other than div3 then thats it for me. I've got my season ticket but i would be looking to request a refund, i'd also be making it clear to the club that i wouldnt be back..its not our fault, but its no longer a level playing field (if it ever was)

Its time for the SPL teams to come out and say which of them back this proposal, if they are sending out such bile in their name then they should be big enough to admit which of them are backing it...i'd take an initial guess at Celtic, Motherwell and Killie. If Aberdeen are sayng they're not happy wih it then it makes you wonder who is...

Petrie could help by claryfying if any such talks took place between himself and Green. Additionally, if they are going to 'relegate' Rangers/ newco/ sevco then they would be swapping with Dunfermlines place....not Dundee. As currently there is no newco in place this 'suggestion' would then be an immediate promotion to SFL1 for them.....

Have the SFA said that all applicants for the spare membership need to apply on Friday or is it just for Sevco? I cant help but wonder if the SFA will be using the application process to ensure that Sevco accept sanctions from Oldco, no acceptance = no licence, no licence = no decision for SPL or SFL to make with regards Sevco...

From reading Johnstons statement i'm interpretting that he is in effect admitting two things; 1) Killie are built around income from the OF and they're unable to amend budgets to prevent serious financial impact. Should Rangers not be allowed in then they themselves will be in trouble - incidentally why can't Killie just not sign a couple of players or not offer better deals to a few? 2) The SPL board have shown themselves to be completely incompetant (like it needed confirmation!) in allowing contracts to be drawn up in such a way that 'there must be an OF'. We're all well aware that the OF are the box office for the league, but to have contracts requesting that there must be games between the two is ridiculous. If Sky look to renegotiate or walk away at the end of next season then the SPL should be looking to implement either SPL TV or look towards ESPN / BBC Scotland for a live game/ highlights carve up. Losses will be amde at clubs, but its within those clubs powers to minimise the impact by reviewing their squad refreshment and other revenue streams. At least Motherwells statement gave a worst case scenario and left it to the fans...Johnston seems to be saying Killie must have a Newco

I'm pretty convinced that Green knows exactly what he's doing. All the players walk and its not their fault...again! Theres no way Sevco could even run for a couple of months with half the players moving to them. As for transfer fees they'd raise..who'd pay them? Anyone wanting, say McGregor, will either wait or pay peanuts..why should they pay any more if they know that Sevco need shot of them (unless theres an EBT or two in it for them..) As for their legal threat, will this be added to the pile of pending legal actions threatened against the BBC and others? I don't believe for a minute that Green believes that any player has automatically moved to Sevco..Thursday training should be a laugh!

The Pars already have my ticket money for the coming season but if Newco are conveniantly placed into a reconstructed spl2 alongside ourselves then it will be the last, even if Yorkston voted against it. What would be the point anymore? I've also told the club i'll not be parting with my planned sponsorship of a player for next season until this is known...just in case...

I know people want Celtic to come out and publicly vote 'no' but to be honest its not worth their time. If the other clubs keep coming out quicker than members of a boy band then theres nothing for Celtic to do. Any response from them at this time, no matter what they say, and they'll give themselves unnecessary grief.

Although some fans of SPL clubs are holding off on buying their season tickets, will they purchase if their chairman says they'll vote 'no' but before the actual vote takes place? It could be that people purchase tickets and then Sevco still end up in the SPL. I've bought my season ticket for East End but is Sevco appear in our league it will be my last no matter how Yorkston would vote.

Aren't the SFA tribunal supposed to meet at the end of this week to discuss the sanctions that the SFA are to impose? If they decided to suspend Rangers for a season then essentially thats the SPLs work done as without membership they can't play in the SPL and theres nothing to be voted on? Suspension would mean that Club12 (Dundee) would need moved into the SPL and others bumped up. Div 3 would either run with 9 teams for a year or invite entries. After the year Rangers could re-enter the league (surely reconstructed) and be back in the SPL within a couple of seasons???

If the reported season ticket sales are to be believed then i would expect moest chairman would rather have the vote now...as long as it goes the right way for them that is. If fans are holding off spending the cash then it must be a difficult time for the chairman...i'm glad i'm not in their place!!
