  1. Pissing on the seat or floor in a public toilet.
  2. Public Image Ltd are touring this year. I'm gonna try for a ticket for their Dundee gig.
  3. I hope he is thrown in the slammer.... and has to share a cell with Christopher Scarver.
  4. Faded Lois Dreams by Andrew Vaughan A northern "footy lad" moves to London in the early 80s and immerses himself in the music and fashion scenes. This book has absolutely no storyline and consists of little more than the author name checking famous London pubs, music venues and clothes shops. That said though, it wasn't badly written and it did give a sense of time and place. It held my attention but I'm in no rush to read it again.
  5. O Lucky Man! Freaky 70s road movie starring Malcolm McDowell as a travelling coffee salesman who ends up in all kinds of fucked up situations. Arthur Lowe from Dad's Army also makes an appearance. They must have been on some pretty strong drugs in the 70s. I can't imagine a film like that being made today. 9/10
  6. That is a classic. I believe it's a remake of a French film called "wages of fear". I've never seen the original.
  7. Performance Experimental 60s gangster film starring Mick Jagger. Weird, but I enjoyed it. 7/10
  8. JFK First time I've seen this. Very well made and well acted though I'm not sure how accurate it was. I personally don't believe the conspiracy theories but I found it very interesting. It lasts for more than three hours but held my attention all the way through. 9/10
  9. Les Valseuses Gerard Depardieu stars in this 70s French road movie. A pair of degenerates drift around France committing petty crimes and harassing women. An absolute classic that I always enjoy watching. I was slightly dismayed to learn that an American remake starring John Turturro as the same character that he plays in The Big Lebowski will be released soon. It may be good but I'm sceptical... 10/10
  10. Sky Riders Trashy 70s action flick starring James Coburn. When his ex missus and kids are kidnapped by a bunch of terrorists and taken to a remote hilltop hideaway, Coburn launches a daring hang-glider borne rescue mission. Cheesy and very dated but entertaining enough. 5/10
  11. This bunch of fucking comedians were hyped up big time by the music press but crashed and burned pretty quickly because they were utterly shite.
  12. Escape From Alcatraz Clint Eastwood plays his usual mean 'n' moody character in this prison escape flick. A great film. A solid 9/10.
  13. Badlands Martin Sheen and Sissy Spacek star as a teenage couple who go on a killing spree. An excellent movie, well made, well acted and engrossing. 9/10
  14. Yeah and i can also picture the tooled-up hotel guests firing back at them.
