  1. Hooper Burt Reynolds plays a hard living Hollywood stunt man in this 70s flick. Amusing. 7/10
  2. Badge 373 Robert Duvall stars a Dirty Harry-esque cop in this 70s crime thriller. Fairly typical of the era, with every cliche imaginable. Entertaining enough though. I'll give it a solid 7/10.
  3. No kids Xmas party back in the 80s was complete without this classic.
  4. The Lives of Others A stasi agent spies on a dissident writer in 1980s East Berlin. Utterly compelling. 10/10
  5. Halloween The original 70s slasher pic. Just the right amount of creepy tension. 9/10
  6. Bring me the head of Alfredo Garcia Never gets old. 9/10
  7. Forfarshire Cup 2008/09 - Alternative History It took me a few minutes to do this but it was well worth it. As the Forfarshire cup wasn't completed in season 08/09, I have decided to settle this for once and for all. Instead of the usual seven teams I have decided to add Kirriemuir Scottish Caledonian United in order to avoid any one team receiving an unfair advantage by getting a bye into the semi finals. St Johnstone beat Forfar on penalties in the final after a boring 0-0 draw at a windswept Station Park.
  8. March or Die Gene Hackman stars as a French Foreign Legion officer. Dated and boring. 3/10
  9. Looks more like Stan Boardman there.. Is that the trophy he got for beating the Jairmans in the world cup final?
  10. I just made some Jamaican style Guinness Punch. I had it a couple of years ago in a carribean restaurant in Manchester but this is the first time I've attempted to make it myself. I used one bottle of Guinness West Indies Porter, one tin of Carnation condensed milk, one egg and some cinnamon and nutmeg. I beat the raw egg then added the rest of the ingredients and whisked it thoroughly before putting it in the fridge for a couple of hours. It tastes okay but is far too sweet. One glass is all I can handle for now. If I try it again I may just use half the amount of condensed milk.
  11. Atomic Blonde Charlize Theron is a total wid and the 80s soundtrack is decent enough but apart from that this film is instantly forgettable and not nearly as hip or stylish as it wants to be. 5/10
  12. It's a toe tapping tune right enough...
  13. Klaus Nomi was really shit, wasn't he* * that wasn't a question
  14. The Day of the Jackal Edward Fox plays a suave and debonair assassin out to waste the French president in this '70s political thriller. This is slow burning, tense and gripping. An absolute classic. 9/10
