Hating this 5 year plan that has seen us make tangible progress in each year thus far.

Congratulations Hibs.
Rangers, though.

What a fucking dreadful player Rob Kiernan is. Jesus Christ.

Think we can get Reilly on loan from you lot? We're obviously going to be getting players from you so I'm just thinking who the likely candidates will be..
There are very few players from Locke's time still left at the club, aside from Paterson, Walker etc.
You're more likely to be getting Callum Tapping and Dave Smith. Commiserations.
McHattie, on the other hand, could end up being a decent signing for a Championship team. Jason Thomson was a shite, young Hearts full-back at one point after all.

A bit of a surprise given that he's reportedly been on the verge of signing a new deal for weeks. Presumably he's been told he won't be number 1 next season and he isn't happy about that.
We'll need 2 keepers now if Hamilton is going on loan. I suppose Gilks might be one of them.

Any Jambos willing to admit to being a little embarrassed that you'll be ranked above AFC in Europe thanks to achievements powered by Roma-dollars/debts?
The line-ups from our draws v Liverpool and Spurs:
v Liverpool: MacDonald, McGowan, Zaliukas, Webster, Grainger, Paterson, Barr, Taouil, Novikovas, Templeton, Sutton.
v Spurs: MacDonald, McGowan, Zaliukas, Webster, Grainger, Templeton, Jonsson, Robinson, Novikovas, Skacel, Smith.
Thank f**k for the "Roma-dollars", buying us a team full of academy players with a handful of SPL journeyman.
Might make the difference between being seeded in QR2.Haha. AFC have won 4 of our last 6 European ties. Jambos have lost 5 of their last 6. I understand why you haven't been paying attention to that arena recently.
And yet...
Heart of Midlothian - 6.460
Aberdeen - 5.460
Get that right up you.

I think what your on about is a plan of the Wheatfield undercoft work which is to be done, not the new main stand.
Nope. There were plans of the Main Stand posted on other forums before being swiftly deleted.
Not before I saved my own copies of course.

Tbf, Aberdeen have dropped plenty of points to the bottom 6 and Celtic too. Nobody wins every game they expect to.
Dropping points because of daft red cards is a big problem though
Yep, but 5 wins in 12 against those teams is still poorer than you'd expect.
Like I say, I'm not one of those calling this season a "missed opportunity" or anything because, as you point out, Celtic and Aberdeen would have similar "what if" stories. If we want to improve next season, though, we need to cut out the red cards and be a bit more ruthless.
I think the spine of the team is looking good. A couple of more creative players, one or two two more striking options as well as a decent left-back and the team would be in very good shape.

Number of points off the top = 16
Number of points dropped against the bottom 4 = 17 (15 away from home)
I'm not saying we should be near the top this season or even that we should have done better with this squad, but that's one area where we need to improve next season. At least 8 of those points can be put down to red cards, so there's a start.

Reilly - 4 goals in 9 starts in the Premiership
Keatings - 7 goals in 17 starts in the Championship
Ooft.
I'm not talking Reilly up, he's quite shit. Keatings is much worse, though. Reilly at least got the team playing higher up the pitch, got defences turning and forced errors from defenders when he was in the team, which led to some good performances, particularly against Celtic and Aberdeen around the turn of the year. Keatings would have been completely pointless this season, which is probably why he was released. Apologies if this upsets you, Fraser.
Anyway, I want the Hibees to tell us more about how Keatings would have filled the gap that Sow left and about how he'd get a game ahead of Juanma.

Absolutely. Reilly outscored Keatings last season and has only scored three fewer goals this season despite playing less in the league above. I'd also much rather have a striker who presses the ball, works hard and has a bit of pace and strength than a striker whose only discernible talent is scoring goals against plumbers - a talent he now appears to have lost.

Except absolutely no one was bigging up Reilly, unlike the Hibs fans who came on here to gloat about signing one of our shitey cast-offs.
And I'd still much rather have Reilly. Nae luck.

Massive thanks to Hearts for letting Keatings go.
You don't surely think Reilly is as good as Keattings do you? Massive mistake letting him go - especially when Sow leaves in the summer.
Is that why he left Hamilton to join hearts previously then yeah?
All footballers are ambitious and want to play at the highest level possible but if he felt he was lied to by the manager of a certain club and isn't happy to sit on the bench then it shows the type of character he is to drop down a division again and prove himself at a different club to a different manager. Reilly seems happy enough sitting about on the bench and playing second fiddle which is is prerogative Keattings wasn't and long term wise I'm extremely confident he will have a better career that Reilly.
Probably would've played more that that donkey Juanma though.
Keatings.
Hibernian.

Provides plenty of punning opportunities.
With hindsight we should never have let Callum Tapping go
On the contrary. Puns are absolutely horrific.

Most of the reports from the States about him are pretty glowing, a lot of people seem surprised that he's ended up in Scotland and he's had a few caps in the last year. This seems like a really good signing on paper, although it's difficult to gauge the standard of the MLS relative to the Scottish Premiership.

We play Aberdeen at home in the last game before the split. Before that, Aberdeen have Partick Thistle (a), Kilmarnock (h), Motherwell (a) and Hamilton (h). It wouldn't exactly be a surprise if they took 10 or 12 points from that.
We've got Dundee (a), Inverness CT (a), St Johnstone (h) and Celtic (a).
If it's still six points by the time we play Aberdeen then we'll have done very well.

Absolutely incredible stuff.

Sounds like we've signed a cracking D-mid.

Robbie Neilson has won an awful lot of games for a manager who doesn't want to win games.

Osman Sow passed his medical today and is not allowed to train with Hearts again. He won't start on Sunday and will be used if it's an emergency.
Tough lucks.
It's £750,000 too. Nowhere near the figure quoted.
Anybody with IQ into three figures already knew that bit anyway m8.
Kidding on that you know the value of the deal.

Definitely didn't see that coming, bit of a scoop for Happy Hibee there. #ITK

Some of the finishes.
He's been kept out of the team by Solanke this season but he's featured from the bench in 4 of the last 5 games. He's scored 9 goals in 15 starts for Vitesse, including a hat-trick on his full league debut. Sounds promising.

Decent pedigree.

Sammon isn't exactly an inspiring signing. Neilson always makes the point that he thinks you get better value for money in the foreign market, and I agree with that, so I'm a bit puzzled at this and the Cowie move. Unless he's taken a big wage cut it doesn't make much sense.
To be fair, there are plenty of strikers who haven't done much in England and done well up here, Kyle and Beattie are two examples of that for us. There's also the fact that he scored regularly in his last season at Killie. I know Eremenko was a big factor in that but apparently he only directly set up 4 of Sammon's 15 league goals, so that factor is probably a bit exaggerated.
He might do a job but he's definitely not going to be someone who'll bring us up a level. Hopefully we'll have another striker coming in.
