  1. Actual exchange in work: Colleague: "Can you order that sink for me?" Me: "OK" C: "What's the delivery address?" Me: "You tell me..." C: "I mean, where will they deliver it to?" Me: "..." Me: "They don't just deliver it to a random address in the UK and leave you to figure it out. You give them an address and they deliver it to that" Me: " " C: "Well I'm not sure where to get it delivered to" Me: " "
  2. You must've studied achilles tendon replacements on your psychology course, surely?
  3. No, I do that too. Like watching a film that you're appearing in.
  4. Levity aside, it's weird how you'd have 3 or 4 lounges but only a wee kitchen. In my game the clients are usually trying to stick the biggest possible kitchen they can in the available space, it's a pissing contest against the neighbours generally, so it's unusual for someone to be more interested in having loads of sofa space and little cooking space.
  5. Surveying plans for a townhouse project. It's over 4 floors and has a lift between floors, several formal lounges, enormous bedrooms, dressing rooms and a wine & cigar lounge, but the kitchen is only about 3 metres long.
  6. The same mod who bottled out of answering my justified questions about the closing of the suicide thread
  7. Reebok Classics were a red neck when I was a nipper, but some of the recent Reebok releases that Oi Polloi have had like the Exofit, NPC vintage and Workouts have been smart.
  8. Weirdo got off at the next stop. He looked exactly like Steptoe senior
  9. Can you read this you creepy old b*****d? Stop looking at my fucking phone, you mac wearing bus c**t!
  10. Except they won't be jokes, he really is Spartacus, that's the genius of it!
  11. Wee Spartacus is on the front page of the Record today. I like that name more and more.
  12. Boy I went to school with called his baby boy Spartacus. They refer to him as "wee Sparky". He just posted this link on Facebook: http://news.stv.tv/scotland/313423-hiya-i-am-spartacus-scots-parents-choose-unusual-baby-names/ Have to admit, I quite like it.
  13. Same for me. For example, I've never ben on any of the P&B game threads as I don't give a shit for them, so I stay off them. There's not yet been one that made me squeamish, but if there was I'd simply not read it.
  14. The sick jokes thread in NSFW was a lot like that a few years ago. Every second page would be someone coming in saying "that's offensive!" and trying to draw arbitrary lines in the sand as to what they themselves considered the limit of good taste, as the self-appointed arbiters of rightousness.
  15. It's not whataboutery, it's a valid comparison. Both the suicide thread and the McCann thread (for example) make lighthearted reference to difficult subjects. Why, therefore, is one more passe than the other? The Australian terror thread recently is another example of a thread wherein death has been discussed in a lighthearted fashion. I simply don't see why the topic of suicide is so off putting for people. If anything, its very seriousness is why we should be discussing it and why it should be just as valid for humour as any other difficult topic. There is no whataboutery in any of what I've said. In fact, the only whataboutery is your refusal to address my point. Listen, I don't want to take the depression thread off track any further, the only reason I commented in here at all was that I took exception to Scotfree's comment. I appreciate that this thread serves as a sounding board and support group and totally respect that, so with that in mind I'd suggest that this discussion about the closed thread be moved elsewhere as my thread and this one are totally unrelated.
  16. It's not in any worse taste than the dead pool threads, the Madelaine McCann kidnapping thread, the Clutha Bar thread etc etc
  17. I'm saying that you are unable to separate yourself from the subject. Just because you find it difficult to talk about, doesn't mean that no-one else should. You don't have the monopoly on mental illness discussion. Grow up.
  18. Here's a wee tip, if you don't understand the subject matter and the context, then just don't get involved. Meantime, just you continue to refuse to discuss important issues or take a lighthearted approach to heavy subjects.
