Draw would have been fairer but a great result for an East Fife team with 6 young players in the line up.Slater was good for Forfar and Flanagan caused problems but the strikersdidn’t offer much.

An unexpected but very welcome result.Now is the time to sign a couple of experienced players.

A much better and badly needed performance.Team put in 100%. Thought Fleming was outstanding and the 2 young centre backs did well though Salmon’s physicality troubled them.Scott Mercer looked more like himself playing wide right midfield. Scott Shepherd hasn’t had a great start but he was very good last night as the lone striker. There is still a concern about goal scoring.We were unable to get any support up to Shepherd and if Trouten is going to be an injury risk we really 2 or 3 who can chip in with a few goals.

Cannot understand how the Manager and the Board can watch that and not realise we are in real trouble. Signing 18 or 19 year olds isn’t going to do it.

Delighted to see a win and good to see Liam Newton and Walls do well. However we badly need some height ,power and experience in the team.

Last night was just a confirmation of what everyone has seen previously.It is unfair on the young players to throw so many of them into such a situation. I think there is a sense of bewilderment amongst fans about the state of the club and the reasons for it.

Don’t accept that you can’t judge by preseason friendly results.Everybody and their dog can see if East Fife don’t sign 3 or 4 decent players then there is a real chance of another disastrous season..The Board and Manager really have to step up.

When players leave it’s always better to remember the good things they did.Davidson and Dunsmore both contributed a lot to what was a good side up until this season’ s disaster.

Clyde were as poor as East Fife.Livoingstone was the best player on the park and Dunlop and Higgins were decent for EF.As awful a game as you will see anywhere.6 games without a goal for East Fife.Wallace,Semple, and Connell were abysmal.

Think it’s correct to say that such a disaster has more than one cause but the players have to take the major responsibility for this mess. This is an experienced team who should be doing a lot better.Everybody and their dog knew this would be a difficult season but no way should we have been cut off like this. Frankly. Stevie Crawford is blameless in this.The rest of the season should be used to prepare for division 2 so we don’t do a Brechin.

Darren Young did a really good job at East Fife until he was hit by a perfect storm of misfortune this season,. A very good appointment for Stirling.

Well done to Banks O Dee though Buckhaven Primary would have beaten East Fife today.The Board should have given Darren Young this match. Only 3 players even put in effort.unfair to pick on one but Chris Higgins was miles off it,barely mobile. Referee was presumably a local ham.The worst I’ve seen for a long time,though his performance was not as bad as the East Fife team. Probably finished any chance of Frail getting the job,though any potential manager would run a mile after watching that.

Having watched streams from all 1st division clubs ,don’t understand the criticism of the East Fife service.It is far closer and clearer than the pixelated 50 yard away stream which only the commentary lets you know a goal has been scored.Having said that it was a blessing that you really couldn’t see when we concede 5 from set pieces at Dumbarton..Commentary is a matter of opinion.

Peterhead could have been 3 up af half time .EastFife got away with it and the introduction of Denholm and more support up front for Smith changed the game. Peterhead played some neat stuff but looked vulnerable at the back when east Fife decided to push forward rather than sitting back trying to survive.

Queens clearly had an advantage in the quality of player with Brown miles ahead of anyone else on the pitch.SimonMurray did not impress. The East Fife players gave absolutely everything effort wise but even allowing for the injuries ,the club badly need some quality signings. Sure Everyone at the club knows that.

Woeful performance and the lack of a goal threat all too predictable.More than a striker needed,the wide players were non existent. This season is going to be Darren Young’s biggest challenge at East Fife.

If we don’t get a couple of half decent strikers in it is going to be a verydifficult season..Plenty of midfield play but creating very little with possession.Just a friendly but goal scoring looks to be a problem.

Don’t blame Brechin,the Lowland league clubs are admitting colts clubs for money.Brechin just tried to follow the same principle as the Old Firm.

Craig Watson is a wholehearted player who can do a job at centre back and full back.Like Brett Long, in my opinion a strange decision to release him.
