I don't think the freeze will be on offer come the election, pretty sure the committee on local taxation will have replied by then, and the parties will end up offering variations on local income taxes, Land value Taxes or the like.
How long is is that the SNP have been promising to tackle this and haven't ?

Point being, you used to actually make some decent points on here. .
No he didn't. He's always been a clueless moron.
What you actually mean here is that his unreconstructed w**k was previously much more in line with the Kool Aid types like you.

only one party is allowed to use food banks to score political points.
It's not scoring political points when the SNP do it.
It's clever campaigning.

Glad to help you and Mr Rational out here... I'm sure you can apologise in your own time to kevthethicko.
"And you're right, it was a political stunt from Murphy scoring off the backs of the poor." (AUFC90)
"A guy who voted for Osbourne's benefit caps dropping in a polly bag to the consequently essential foodbank strikes me as a perverse bit of hypocrisy. If it was me running the place, I'd probably tell him to bolt but match the donation myself in order to do so."
(Sodjes..)
"urphy hand stuff into a foobank? Hypocritical c*nt. I'm glad his gesture was treated with the disdain it deserves; imagine trying to get publicity at the hands of the impoverished. Sub human scum."

I meant evidence of people having a go at other people for doing it you thick c**t.
Jim Murphy was given pelters on here for attempting to donate food to a food bank.
The foodbankers who rejected his dontions were seen as being in the right. Because he was... using it to score political points. I'm sure those who did without the food were grateful for their principled stance.

Think he's seen as more of a like for like replacement for Jimmy.
Few people have been touting Footitt for ages. Ticks a few boxes. Left arm seamer that they don't have.. Plus very quick..
Interesting.

I don't think they'll drop Lyth either but they should. Being bailed out by Anderson and Finn doesn't change that he looks atrocious.
Without Jimmy they'll need another 100 runs at least to win at Trent Bridge. I wouldn't go into the game with a guy who won't get 15 between two knocks.
I think Woakes might get called up.

Carberry was the only one capable of holding up an end whilst it all collapsed around him.
Really?
By holding an end up do you mean getting dismissed cheaply?
12 innings. 1 50. An average of 28.
That's shite.

What an absolutely humiliating beasting this has been..
Not much better an effort than England produced at Lords.
And this was after winning the toss. Absolutely shambolic performance from Australia. Total garbage.

He was a failure.Carberry was far from a failure. He was the scapegoat of that Ashes tour because Cook wouldn't admit his captaincy was horrendous. Another unfortunate victim of the ECB's mismanagement of the last two or three years.
I'm a huge advocate of Hales, but Carberry deserves another chance.
One fifty in 12 innings . A test match average of under 30.
Nick Compton was a lot harder done to than Carberry

No.. They'll never consider it.
But in a way why not ? Winning the Ashes would be an enormous thing.
Which option is more likely to succeed over just a 2 test spell?
One of your best openers of the past 20 years or one of a number of known failures ? Compton.. Hales.. Carberry

Awe Boycs will have his opinion - you can be sure of that!
Buttler is another I'm not convinced of. He needs a score to get his confidence back.
Thing is.. Though it would never happen.. I'd still back Trescothick to outscore every option they will consider over the next two tests.

Just can't have a guy in an Ashes series that you expect to get out for 6 every innings. And so does he.
Dearth of options obviously. Boycott maybe?

72 series runs for Lyth..
Average of 12.
Buhbye

Great effort from Lyth.. 50% more runs than I expected from him

There's zero chance Andy Murray would allow Smith to drop Ward for Bedene. Even if he was available.

It was commented on yesterday as being like the football, a big difference from Lords.
Edgbaston.. Headingly and Trent Bridge are my three favorite venues by miles.
Can't be arsed with Lords or the Oval.

He could drop down the order for the last two tests, maybe bat at five.
Yeah.. I think that's a good shout. Think they need to drop Voges.. Maybe bring Marsh in. Or even Haddin as a batsman.
They don't have a lot of choice in their batting line up. None if their middle order options are very good.

Something like that I think

What are the words to the Mitchell Johnson song?
He bowls to the left..
He bowls to the r-i-i-ght..
Mitchell Johnston
He's fucking shite

I don't like how Michael Clarke seems like a good guy.
Seems like being the operative words.
Been around this Aussie setup and the likes of Ponting far too long not to be contaminated.

I'd be surprised if it wasn't. I'd also put money on him hitting a 100 before the series is done though.
He'll survive the series then get the arm round the shoulder and the quiet suggestion he retires..
Lots of disharmony in the Aussie squad with a split over the w**k Haddin situation. Good.

Peers doesn't get into the Aussie team. They will play Hewitt and Groth in the doubles.
