  1. Aye, that's a pain in the arse. Scuppers my plans completely - need a plan B. :-(
  2. Cracking stage today. Credit to Contador and Tinkoff in particular for attacking from the start and then pushing home the advantage.
  3. Meant to put my North Coast 500 stats on earlier in the week, but here they are now. 535 miles over 8 days (we went off the route briefly a couple of times) Av. speed 11.9 mph 9,900m climbing with 2 days > 2,000m Loved every minute of it and would thoroughly recomend it.
  4. The path/pavement is OK. Probably better on the other side of the road; you can cross under the road at the roundabout. It's signed as a cycle path from Gogarburn (if not before) and goes through Edinburgh Park up to EP station and then into town. Enjoy PFS!
  5. Really enjoyed the end of the stage, with so much attacking and uncertainty over who was going to win. Good to see Simon Yates getting involved.
  6. Well spotted, Waspie. It is indeed myself. Absolute scenes when Prunty scored. I seem to have fallen over!
  7. I expect, and hope, we will bring someone in as a replacement. Possibly a loan deal.
  8. Three days into the NC500. Yesterday was a toughie; 2,100m of climbing, most of it in the first 40miles with the Bealach na Ba follwed by the Applecross peninsula with a seemingly never ending series of short 12% climbs. Really enjoying it so far.
  9. Never thought I'd see Pat Scullion back with us. I always thought he was a better player than Alloa fans gave him credit for. I assume he's fit and Jack Ross sees a role for him, so happy enough with the signing.
  10. There's not that many genuinely pacy wingers about though. What happened to the lad Cooper?
  11. Training going OK for the NC500. Rides of 70+ miles the last two weekends and a handful of 20 - 30 milers. Just hope the wind and rain aren't too bad.
  12. Friend of mine has done it a few times. Pretty tough route, is it not?
  13. Not great, but looked like it could have been a lot worse. Both road races were excellent with similar exciting finishes and worthy winners.
  14. He can be an awkward b*stard by all accounts, but also a charmer. I like him.
  15. Agreed. The opposite can also be the case, i.e. being proud of being Scottish (more so than being British), but believing Scotland has a better future as part of the UK.
  16. Smart move. You'll be fine on a hybrid. Enjoy.
