  1. Really? Where did you hear this? I hope he also wants a goal scorer, seeing as our current strikers have three goals (including one penalty) between them this season.
  2. Pity as McKenna has been class. Dougie Hill has also found form playing beside him. Still the possibility that Doyler will be back, I suppose if Cork decide against offering him a deal, but I hope he gets taken on there.
  3. We are well covered for the positions Caddis plays IMO. So I don't see us going for him. Unless of course we can't get anyone else.
  4. There will likely be a few players who have been released and who still don't have clubs. So still the opportunity to bring a couple in. And I think we still have one loan - Father Barry will be able to confirm.
  5. My grandaughter started crawling last week. We look after her every Wednesday and she's a wee cracker. It's brilliant being a grandparent.
  6. The difference this time is that I can't see us waiting for Doyley in our circumstances and the window being a short one. I hope he gets a full-time deal and that he makes a go of it.
  7. Cheers, mate. I am on the mend and managed my first trip to the gym today, where I had very tentative goes on the bikes and cross trainer (legs only). They expect I'll be able to get back on my bike early March.
  8. Even better than the first series IMO. Casting was spot on.
  9. Thanks. There was a drain going across the width of the road, with the spaces between the bars going in the same direction as I was , a bit of a hazard for cycling! Front wheel went in the space and threw me forward. Didn't see it at all, well at least until I was lying on my back wondering what the f@ck just happened.
  10. hmm, maybe you're not completely daft.
  11. Well, that went badly. Picked up my bike at 9.30am, had a crash at 10.00am and have broken my arm. Flew back early on the Wednesday and am waiting for a slot for an operation to fix it. Apparently it's an unusual break so the hospital want an upper limb specialist to do it.
  12. Indeed. In purely boxing terms, Fury is pretty ordinary. Not sure what point you are trying to make, mate. Froome is British and represents Britain. Indeed, his comment was crass and ignorant. Embarrassing for him, really.
  13. Flying out to Tenerife tomorrow for five nights. Staying in Puerto de la Cruz and hiring a road bike. Going to stick to flattish coastal roads (rather than attempt Mount Teide ). Can't wait..
  14. It's only a part of the sport though. The least competitive part. Where would Fury rank in a world pound for pound list?
  15. Good post. You make a decent point about my personal favourite for the title. Armitstead was also the World Cup winner (for the second year in a row). I accept she won't win it, but I still would like to see it. Obviously of course looking forward to seeing both her and Jess in nice dresses on the night.
