  1. It will. As I said, I'm against the pitch reduction.
  2. Don't think you should include cup games in the stats, Waspie. Also you've missed out the most important stat - points. [emoji6] My original post was a wee teaser re the pitch. For what it's worth, I'd prefer the pitch to be larger as the games would be more attractive and we have the players to utilise the space.
  3. Is that us got more points at home than away now?
  4. D.A.F.C please amend your user name by adding a fourth full stop at the end. It's doing my head in. Maybe you could borrow one from DAFC.? [emoji19]
  5. Only a couple of idiots in our support were shouting abuse at Dobbie, Harkins et al.
  6. Second series of Norsemen now available. Love it.
  7. Tremendous win by Yates in a thoroughly entertaining Vuelta. With Lopez and Mas finishing so strongly we should be in for interesting grand tours over the next several years. I don't think Movistar have handled the Quintana/Valverde (and now Landa) thing well since Quintana burst onto the grand tour top table. Quintana's lack of form in the high mountains has been bemusing the last 2 or 3 years. Not sure if Mitchelton Scott have a full roster yet for next year. It will be interesting to see who they sign if they haven't. Bound to be some interesting discussions with the Yates twins about GT targets for next year.
  8. Another stage down for Yates, despite losing several seconds to Mas and Valverde. The rest, especially Quintana, appear to be gone now. The Andorra stages will suit both Yates twins more than Valverde certainly; if not Mas. So Simon is now close enough that he'll be able to taste it.
  9. Oh, Waspie! We didn't play any competitive games with 12 or 13 players (not sure about the Binos game, but was that competitive? [emoji6]) Given the manager clearly feels (correctly IMO) that we need loan quality to be competitive this season, and that such signings can only really be done towards the end of the window, I'm not sure how Goody could have done things any differently or better.
  10. Indeed. We've looked a bit vulnerable from set pieces. Andy Graham has been the only tall player we had in the team, let alone defence. Even Andy doesn't really attack the ball defensively; good in the air though he is. Jim clearly likes a couple if big centre backs as his preference - Frank instead of Jason, McCart instead of Taggs. Connor Shields, if he's confirmed would give us more pace going forwards, a facet Jim G has improved significantly in the last week or so.
  11. So should do a job for us in the Championship? Trouten isn't cutting it. It's just too fast for him.
  12. More than 3,000 posts on this thread since the start of the league season. #threadwank
  13. Surprised to hear that. He was highly regarded at Truro City.
  14. You might be right. Several Raith fans I have spoken to and who saw a lot of Dario last year would disagree I think. Personally I don't think there's a lot between the two, but Smith looks more effective centrally and that's where I think we were (are) short. Wide we have Hastie, Kev, Flanny and Brown, and now Dario. As I've touched on before I think Zanatta may do well for us through the middle; a position I can see Hastie being effective too. Both are strong and have pace, so different options to Spence and Trouten. I do think Smith has a lot of potential. I thought he started slowly with us last year, but gradually improved when played more in the middle. He also lookef to me like he knew where the goal was. Not sure how he'll do at Arbroath. They have several attacking options so he MAY not get a lot of starts, especially initially.
  15. I'd rather we had signed him than Zanatta. Better played centrally than on the wing. Has pace and a good attitude.
  16. Burt and Zanatta are decent signings and give the squad more depth, but I don't think they are any better than we have; although Zanatta may prove me wrong if played through the middle. The glaring gap in the squad for me remains goal threat and options up front. That will be mitigated if the aforementioned Dario, Hastie and wee Kev (especially) get among the goals. ETA With my happier hat on, best of luck to Liam and Dario in the Wasps' colours. Always good to see talented youngsters from the top clubs stutting their stuff at the Indodrill. Burt in particular will surely learn from playing beside quality like Robbo, Flanny and Stevie H.
  17. THAT's what a Rangers fan feels obliged to apologise about? [emoji46]
  18. Good call, Adam. Let's get some padding quality in just so we can fill the bench. That will definitely work over the course of the season. No point waiting a couple of weeks to get in better quality to give us at least a chance of staying up.
