  1. Idiots disliking random players for no good reason other than to appear controversial. Sad lives.
  2. We've been more consistent against the better teams in the league. I think those games suit the team we have - we are solid throughout the pitch with a limited amount of flair.
  3. Agreed. I think the playoffs could be very tight. Each team (assuming it's the four currently filling the places) has a decent chance and will genuinely believe they can win a place in next season's championship. The manager will need to start his best side though, not something he's done consistently recently, which for me means Wee Kev ahead of Smith (despite him showing improvement recently). We could also do with Ross Stewart getting back among the goals. If he can do that, then with Kirky beside him we will cause any of the other teams problems.
  4. Brilliant win for Sagan in Gent Wevelgem, holding off a fast finishing (and distraught) Viviani by timing his sprint perfectly.
  5. Different one. He's not having much luck this year.
  6. Looked a really sore one. Hope he's OK. Brilliant from the Shark.
  7. Yeah, nothing can ever beat the 1990 win due to the circumstances and build up to that match. But that today, first half especially, was as close as we've come.
  8. Sensational performance from Scotland. Richly deserved win. Well done to every one of those players! [emoji16]
  9. Three brilliant tries. Each one better than the one before. Absolutely outstanding half from Scotland.
  10. They might have a point if they weren't bigoted scumbags to a man themselves.
  11. Very bad day at the office. I didn't expect us to win, but I thought we'd go very close. I think the main thing the result shows is just how hard it is to win away in the six nations and we knew that already.
  12. Agree with this. Leo... is doing a great job. While I come down firmly on the side of Father Barry in the debate specific to Stevie H (I think he's been a top player this season) I believe you can take a lot from good statistical analysis as a manager. The more information provided the better, although its usefulness depends a lot on the person using it's ability to properly understand it. It's clearly a very interesting area. On the loans subject, again that's an interesting one and there have been several good points well made. Ultimately, if we go up then that's the end goal achieved and no matter how we achieve it the end will IMO justify the means. However, I really feel for the likes of Cawley and Robbo when they can't get in the starting eleven when they are such cracking players who gave never let us down. Robbo in particular would be rightly pissed off at playing (well) out of position for several weeks only to lose his place with the signing of McCart.
  13. Why? It's in his and the club's interests for him to play as much as possible and so develop. He's still some way off being good enough to start at our level, and with the strengthening of the squad in January is less likely to get time from the bench. Depending on how he does on loan we'll have a better idea of what level he can continue his career at.
  14. The other two goals weren't bad that night either. [emoji3]
