  1. Looks like a strong Killie team. Hoping this isn't a banana skin tie this afternoon as if we want to bounce back straight away these are the kind of games we need to win.
  2. Everything about that man's bizarre year in charge was just so... bizarre, really
  3. Feels good waking up today after a very satisfying evening. I expected Ayr to try to make themselves difficult to break down but that didn't seem to happen - and had we had a proper goalscorer in the team we could have been three-zip up at HT. As it was a goal was coming given how much space and respect Ayr afforded us, and while the penalty that was awarded was never a penalty (albeit it did look like one from the angle saw it from in the Moffat Stand at the time, yet the replays show otherwise) we should have had the game put to bed long before that. The only Killie player who gets minus points from me last night is Haunstrup - a player who looked comically out of his depth at Premiership level and continues to do so in the Championship. Everyone else played well from the goalie to the striker. As for Cameron I'm not convinced that he's the answer as he missed a couple of sitters but in any case I'm glad he got his goal and hopefully that can see him off and running. Finally, after all the big talk and bravado I feel a bit sorry for the Ayr guys on here who came in firing on all cylinders, only for their team to shíte the bed spectacularly and leave them with egg on their face. Ultimately, it looked like a good team playing a poor team - absolute toffee in the end. Looking forward to the next derby now and a chance to end the hoodoo at Somerset.
  4. We confirmed the signing of 20 year-old striker Rumarn Burrell on loan from Boro this afternoon and TW has said he wanted to bring in two strikers, so there may be activity before Monday night. Based on the way things have gone with our recent transfer windows who knows whether that'll actually materialise or not. As for Burrell his stats would suggest he's not had a lot of senior games so I suppose we'll have to see what happens with how he slots into the team. TL,DR: Maybe. Don't know.
  5. ...this thread has turned into an absolute binfire, can't wait for at least a whole season of this
  6. Can't believe I've seen us win a shootout. Never thought it would happen in my lifetime, but hoodoos are made to be broken. Onwards.
  7. Good first half, poor second half. I think after the McKenzie chance we didn't look like adding to our two and when a team takes their foot off the gas it's very hard for them to get back on it again. Despite our two goals we seem to lack penetration, I worry that Cameron isn't going to be good enough for us but I'd love to be proved wrong. We seem to need a midfield playmaker and a capable striker who can play up front alone or play off Cameron. Anyway, a win's a win, we're off the mark (again) and I'm looking forward to being back at RP on Tuesday.
  8. Did anyone else have streaming issues in the last 10/15 minutes of the game today? I was out so I missed it, but speaking to my dad he said he had issues with the stream becoming extremely laggy. Sounds like a fairly comfortable win for us in the end, maybe just more work required on the finishing in the first half. Be interesting to see what the team looks like when more players are back from injury.
  9. Can't really say. I've seen him a few times at reserve games but I can't really say due a combination of poor memory and not remembering much about the youth squad since the pandemic started.
  10. Curtis Lyle has gone on loan to Stranraer until January. Hopefully he does well and gets a fair bit of game time with the blues.
  11. Friendly against Kilwinning Rangers on Thursday cancelled after initially being moved from the Wednesday to the Thursday night. Had a ticket for it but couldn't go after they changed it to the Thursday night, so not that bothered about seeing it not happen now. Any idea if the EK game will be on KillieTV at all? Might miss the first half due to work but hoping I'll be done for the second half.
  12. I like this signing on paper. I agree - he should be a good signing but time will tell.
  13. Hemmings appears to have disappeared from the site. Maybe an announcement later?
  14. Very pleased to hear not only we have a goalie who isn't Doyle or Hamilton but also that Burke is staying. Like others have said here he's a great example for the young players to look up to and will hopefully do well in the Championship. It seems to all be coming together nicely.
  15. According to Northern Irish broadcaster Joel Taggart we've signed former St. Mirren and Blackburn Rovers midfielder Brad Lyons. I remember the name but not much else about him.
  16. Brilliant show last night as always. Pat was fantastic value as he always is and the food feature was fun, especially seeing Joel get jellied eels twice in a row. The VTs were predictably good as always and the Spanish version of 500 Miles was just immense - wonderful musicianship. Bring it on next weekend!
  17. As if I couldn't get any more excited for the Euros already, I get reminded that this is happening and I've got a big smile on my face now. Some dunt this is going to be
  18. I do, hence why I'm saying that it's unusual that I feel that way. It's total cognitive dissonance on my part, and I think it's probably just selfishness on my part as I enjoy people not barging past me in shops for the most part and I also love playing and attending gigs. I guess what I'm trying to say is that, to quote Alan Partridge, I just hate the general public.
  19. Update: felt a bit achey like the start of a flu around 9PM yesterday, had a bit of a rubbish unsettled sleep and just felt like I had a hangover this morning. Nothing a few ibuprofen couldn't get rid of and I was fine by midday or thereabouts. Basically very similar to my first dose but with less-strong side-effects. Give it a couple of weeks and I'll be grand. Wouldn't mind some things like keeping a reasonable distance from people in shops etc and masks getting worn in shops but at the same time I also want to get sweaty gigs in small venues back - is that normal?
  20. Had my second dose of AZ just before ten this morning. A scoosh compared to the first dose, no side-effects just yet. Can't wait to get back to licking people's faces again.
  21. Daily Record reporting that we've signed Scott Robinson. He was poor for us in Gary Locke's team, but he's fairly turned himself around since then. If the Livi version of him turns up then that's a good signing IMO.
