  1. I was in the upper Southwest for our LC Final in 2012 and it was a really decent view, I was up the back and it felt like you were right on top of the corner flag. No visibility issues whatsoever, you'll be grand. As for me I'm going to the Czech Republic game with my pal, we're in row F & G in A6 which seems to be the West Stand. Entry is 1-1:30 which is pretty tolerable all things considered. Not sure where to book for some lunch and a couple of pints beforehand but there's hopefully time to sort that out before this weekend.
  2. Wright really isn't messing about with the rebuild is he? This is the earliest I can ever remember us sorting out deals for players we want to bring in so I'm all for this.
  3. A reasonable enough performance from us, but we were lucky that Accies didn't offer up much in terms of chances and when they did they missed them by quite some distance. Thankfully from our point of view a very easy day for poppadom wrists Doyle. I'm obviously disappointed that Motherwell didn't do the business for us, but I'm glad that we were able to get a win and it should have been more. If only Pinnock hadn't been on a hat-trick perhaps it'd have been another goal - but it's not enough for us. You can rue your luck when it's not in your own hands all you like but over the course of the season we've had plenty of chances to get ourselves ahead but every time through either bad luck or sheer incompetence we've spurned chance after chance. Add to that the amount of times we've thrown leads away - had we held onto even just one of those, we'd have been celebrating instead of County today. Bring on the uncertainty of the playoffs, and if we end up being relegated then we've got nobody to blame but ourselves - especially our board. Hoping for one last big effort and then we can hopefully forget all about this season. Lastly, fair play to Accies for managing to stay in the league for so many seasons with easily the smallest budget year on year. Some achievement.
  4. Very classy strip, although I don't know what the colours were in b&w it's reminiscent of a Crystal Palace away kit. More of this sort of thing please.
  5. ...bloody hell. You can score all the goals you like but there's absolutely no point if you're just going to let the opposition get one back immediately. That was very poor from us tonight and the only bit of good luck that we've had is that Accies are so much worse off on goal difference than we are. We're a right bad team and we deserve what we get in the end. I don't know what TW was playing at when it came to subs, and a combination of comedically bad defending and terrible game management have given us an uphill task on Sunday. Hoping for a Christmas miracle now.
  6. I am very nervous. It's definitely brown trousers time, and I don't know if I trust us to go out and win against a team with only the difference in league placings to play for now given we looked very poor against a team with nothing to play for in Motherwell already. Go on St. Mirren, do us a favour. You know you'd prefer a day out in the Brass before RP instead of wherever it is they drink before NDP...
  7. Nights like these just prove that Scottish football is unrivalled by any other form of entertainment going.
  8. After Monday I thought we'd have a fighting chance after our performance on Monday night. Instead we looked very, very poor. To travel to a team with nothing to play for except finishing tap of the shite and lose in the manner that we did is chronic, and the other results have drawn us ever-closer to the plughole. Wednesday night is now absolutely massive and in addition to helping out you Steelmen in your quest to continue being better than the Buddies, I think the best we can hope for is that Accies and County draw as a win for either side there doesn't help us. Oh to be in a situation like Motherwell right now...
  9. Say, that hologram we have in the reserves - what's he like? I think it's time he stepped up to the plate.
  10. Better alternatives to playing Colin Doyle in nets: A hologram of Darth Vader My Gran A cat Mr Blobby A tray of pies If he starts today he must have some serious kompromat on everyone at the club.
  11. Kyle Lafferty is already cementing his hero status with us and to all of a blue and white persuasion all past misdeeds are forgiven. Don't get me wrong, without him we're relatively toothless with the exception of Chris Burke but as long as he keeps us up and helps to extend our cup run I don't mind at all. I wasn't a fan of his at all before this and when he signed I was so down about our chances of staying up that I thought "alright, things are dire so why not", but now I'm more than happy with him staying beyond the season so long as we can stay up. Broadfoot is someone I never had time for before he played for us but he's been good for the majority of his time here. If you're going the other way, Kris Boyd. Will always appreciate what he did as a player in his spells with us but now seeing his schtick it's not brilliant.
  12. As far as nights go for us it's about as good as it gets - three-zip and Accies and County slip up. Still a long way to go, but having Lafferty is making the difference up top for us. I'd have replaced him with either Oakley or Kabamba at HT, but in any case a very good performance. United started the first half really well but then the game settled and after we scored the first (which I thought had been headed wide at first) they didn't look like doing much. Still don't understand why Doyle gets picked ahead of Rogers - he made some decent saves, especially the one very near the end, but that error that almost led to a goal after making a great save is why he'll always be a comedy keeper for me. Rossi played very well and I've no idea why we haven't played him more over the course of the season. Pinnock has improved greatly and had a reasonable game, Power and Dicker weren't bad - on the whole a very good performance and that'll give us a bit of confidence going into the quarters on Monday night.
  13. Game being on a Monday night isn't what I was after, but still looking forward to it in any case.
  14. I'm relieved more than anything to be through - Montrose gave a brilliant performance and were it not for their mistakes I don't know if we'd have scored. Our defence looked very poor for the second half and I fear that if that continues we'll go down. Medley has to be dropped for Ibsen Rossi on Wednesday, and our defence needs a total rebuild next season regardless of where we end up. All the best to Montrose for the rest of the season, you guys played some very nice stuff and were unlucky not to get more from today.
  15. I actually think all these looks pretty smart and were I a Livi fan I'd be getting all this for the beach. Alas, I'm not, but fair play.
  16. That was very nervy, and I'm sure both teams will see that as a spurned chance to gain some ground. We looked atrocious defensively at times, Medley in particular had a shocker. The only consolation from our view is that we didn't lose, and hopefully Dundee United not having much to play for can work to our advantage against them. Ah well, we kick the can on down the road to the next game...
  17. I definitely do. If either team loses it doesn't confirm anything by any means with four games remaining after this, but there's a lot riding on this one. If you guys win it'll be very hard to catch up with you and I think would make us finish 11th at most. If we win we won't be safe but it'll continue the good form and will boost the mood in the camp. Have to say I'm feeling a lot more positive than I was after the win over Motherwell. Check back with me on Saturday at 5 to see how I feel though, I'm still nervous.
