  1. According to the BBC news video, this administrator is saying there are people in the background willing to invest in the club. Something i would suggest the WLC are aware of which to my mind smacks. I am not happy with the quote that the administrator is going to speak to the SFL regardes penalties and possible re arrangment of a fixture. Surely the SFL have to stick to the rules or else they are setting a precidence. This whole thing is a pure farce and getting more so by the day.
  2. Andy180. My apologies. My info was v ery much out of date. PP, thanks for the update on this. Its as you say though, a CVA will be very hard to get at best. I just hope this can be resolved very quickly and that a new and genuine livi fc is born from it. However, it still stands as administration, interim or otherwise, and the SFL have to act upon that.
  3. Quote from business law Administration The role of an administrator is to get the company out of trouble and trading again if possible. Administrators can be appointed to a company that is unable, or is likely to become unable, to pay its debts. They can be appointed by any of the following: the courts - on application from a creditor, directors or partners the holder of a qualifying floating charge over the assets of the business the company or its directors An administrator's primary goal is to rescue the company as a going concern. If this isn't possible, the administrator will try to get a better result for the creditors than would be possible if the company was wound up. If neither of these is possible, the administrator will sell the company's property to make at least a partial payment to one or more secured or preferential creditors, such as employees or the bank. Livi are in administration as of 09.10 this morning. The company are now being run by an administrative manager (Administrator) whos purpose is to try to save the club by finding an investor. A CVA by Masone does not mean livi are out of administration until the appointed administrator says they are. Its clear, to me at least, that WLC have taken this step to preserve football in livingston. As WLC have applied for the order, a CVA is almost certainly out of the question at this stage as they clearly would not agree to this as they themselves are not preferred creditors. In this case they are landlords owed £300000.00 in rent arrears. Bank overdrafts, taxes and council taxes are preferential. The purpose of an administrative manager is to identify the future and immediate viability of livi fc and to see if that business can be saved. His report and contacts with prospective investors would then determine whether administration would continue until agreements have been made and new owners are brought in. The simple fact of all this is livi is being run by administrators until saved or closed down.
  4. Now the big question is, what do the SFL do. Will it be a points deduction. Will it be relegation. Or will they be thrown out of the league. Sorry to read this. I never liked Livi after what they did to us when we were in trouble, but i do genuinely feel sorry for their supporters.
  5. I hope it is as you say donny, but daryl reckons he saw him training?????
  6. Its reported that Dyron Daal was training with us tonight. I hope this isnt true after what some of you said.
  7. I tell you what, if this does go ahead, and is under the auspicies of what the councils statement says, i would be pretty pissed off as a creditor as well as a council tax payer. God, it is possible to assume there could be some insider trading going on here. Under those terms from the council, i very much doubt any court would sanction this.
  8. Its the way they worded the statement that intrigues me. They should not, nor can i believe they can, suggest this is the way to preserve senior football in livingston without having some prior knowledge of outside interest that would be acceptable to the appointed administrators. This statement just doesnt seem right to me, unless i have interpreted it incorrectly which i dont think i have. As a point of interest, does anyone get a vote on this. If administrators come in, dont they say what will and what will not be???.
  9. Reading the councils statement,it could be interpreted that they may have been in talks with other parties. How else could they possibly suggest it is the way to preserve senior football in livingstone. No matter, theres going to be a hefty points deduction and almost certain relegation which in itself appears counter productive.
  10. So Renton, what your saying is every fan is clutching at straws regards their team. If thats the case, then surely, at this stage of the season every team is equal according to you, so why should we worry. In truth, i would suggest the pre season friendlies have a lot of meaning for many fans. What happens pre season is the fans build up to the season proper. It builds the fans perception of what to expect and hope for starting Aug 8th. From manager to coaches to players to fans these games have to have a meaningful purpose. Yes i agree its up to the players to show their pre season skills during the season and to improve as the season goes on. Likewise, its up to us as fans to use the pre season to help support our players. So far the RR fans mood has changed from no hopers to we will be ok and are better than hoped. The players have built up fans confidence, baring the usual few who would find fault with anything other than what they deem isnt their way.
  11. Tell me Calderon. If pre season games mean naff all, then why do you and all others discuss the games and the players. Are you telling us all that your critiques and analysis also mean naff all. B) The whole truth is these friendly games do mean a lot to the players, the manager and clearly to those who discuss them.
  12. Yep, i will never forget that goal. Embarrasing to say the least. I honestly think many are underestimating the new young guys. Ok, they havent the experience at this level granted, but they are all very good prospects. And everyone seems to be missing the point about our squad. Unlike Dundee and ICT who have set position players we have a squad of players most of whom can play comfortably in different position. Thats the real strength in our squad and if as i suspect our loan strikers is a hibs player then we are better positioned than many would think. I agree, its going to be hard, but we will be ok.
  13. You aint upset me at all pal. Hey i changed my opinion as many others have done. When i said we would be relegated we had not even a full squad then. Now we have a smallish but quite strong squad and one that will fare far better than many suspect. We will be ok this year and i suggest its other teams that should worry about us, not us about them. B)
  14. Paco and MW As a point MW how many games have you seen this season??
  15. Just what is all this pessimism from you guys. Division one is not the english premiership and theres not that much to choose from the lot of us. I can understand you not wanting to get too carried away, but jesus all this negativity is way over the top. No one said it was going to be easy, but you lot appear to have capitulated already. We may not have the biggest squad, but we sure as hell have a good squad that is more than capable of dishing out many shocks this season. I think the lang toun should be renamed after you guys. DOOM TOWN
  16. Highlights of the 46 min match now here http://www.raithroversfc.com/cgi-bin/match...916&type=11 What a well taken goal by Ian Williamson.
  17. Certainly not Gary Glen. He is away with the first team squad playing friendlies abroad.
  18. Yep and with sloan back were looking pretty good right now. Some good interviews regarding last nights game here http://www.raithroversfc.com/cgi-bin/match...=916&type=3 A nice compliment from Yogi saying we are a good outfit and gave as good as we got. He fell short of saying we made his superstars look ordinary though.
  19. You aint missed nothing. Just some Dundee quirk got a bad belly and suffering an over indulgence of wind.
  20. The ball hit our wall and went out for a throw in, i think.
  21. Forget the anti climax and etc, what we saw in the first 45 mins last night was sufficient to show we are far from relegation candidates on that form. Ok, we all know footballs a funny old game and anything can happen, but last night showed we are a good outfit. Yogi impressed me greatly with his interpretation of a comanche war dance just before half time. Hell it even raised a smile from the referee!!! Williamson now 5 goals from 3 games. Good for him. Tade again unlucky.
  22. No he has said he favours the loan option, and it could well be that, but in this particular interview there is no mention of a loanie. Just that they are finalising a deal which opens the question is it in fact a loan signing or a permanent deal.
  23. Nope it doesnt mention anything about a loan deal. It does say that is something we are looking to finalise, but definately no mention of it being a loan signing.
  24. I think the words used were Favouring the trial option it certainly wasnt the written gospel.
