  1. A wee Stonechat a couple of weeks ago in D&G
  2. Spent a Sunday morning there in April, first visit. Got the place to myself. Bit of a trek from Midlothian, but worth staying over and visiting some of these other bits. When you hear all the English guys talking about Bempton cliffs in Yorkshire and how mobbed it gets, you appreciate what you've got. Mind you they've been flocking to Bempton to see an Albatross, but it's a nightmare, somebody was telling me last week.
  3. I got plenty half puffin flight shots and blue sky shots...
  4. Big Robbie returns. Great signing IMO https://twitter.com/WhitehilWelfare/status/1536818974721187840?s=20&t=RjsjNUUX_RWDceL49xYwXA
  5. We had a pair of Siskins visiting for a couple of weeks. Big deal for us as there's usually just the common stuff like Great Tits and Pigeons. I combined 2 images to get them sharp.
  6. St Monans during and after a power cut, the Great Bear prominent in both.
  7. All of those players are resigned from last season. No new names yet, he's rewarding them for their loyalty but if people are not getting a game they'll probably move on. Stewart has been playing a lot alongside Currie and was often subbed after an hour. I didn't know anything about him before but I see both clubs were in Lge1 at the time. Never got into these squad threads before so can remove any posts that are irrelevant/off topic. Not a Bonnyrigg supporter but I keep up with the local teams since ICT home games are getting less of an attraction for an old git like me .

  9. Dean Brett. I would say there are very few others with much quality but they’ve a lot of experience, e.g. Kerr Young, Dean Hoskins and Neil Martiniuk. Michael Andrews is the regular keeper and not Mark Weir whom the Broch/Cowden fans were slagging off as fat, although most of them admitted he was decent. Also top scorer McGachie missed both Cowden games. I said a couple of years ago that he wouldn’t get goals in the SPFL but I’ve been surprised at his improvement. That game was eye bleeding but you are spot on. Think I saw them 9 times this season and their biggest problem is probably an ageing team who are not as strong as previous seasons when they saw off a few SPFL and HL sides at NDP very comfortably. I would have faith in Robbie Horn to replace stalwarts like Johnny Stewart and Alan Horne, alongside youngsters like Brad Barrett. They always had a habit of wearing down teams at home where they are very strong and I think they will get enough points at NDP to keep them up. Over 300 STs sold already.
  10. Fairy nuff Actually you could have just quoted the lengths - 49M v 65M. That photo just makes me think of Father Ted... Isle of May tomorrow!
  11. I know it's open season on Calmac right now, but I imagine this will work in tandem with the MV Isle of Mull and will simply replace the MV Coruisk which is a similar size/capacity and cost £6.75M new in 2003.
  12. I imagine Tam will let you strum his banjo tomorrow night at the semi.
  13. Can't believe 7 years have passed since I was applauding politely while trying to unwrap a sweetie.
  14. Edinburgh Utd 2 Thornton 1. As you said, the last minute goal wrecked the Hibs and it made no difference to Utd as they needed Coldstream and KSH to lose. A 35 yard fizzer from Fraser Bell in 88 minutes caught me on the hop, and he's seeking the camera attention before his teammates reach him . The 3rd pic is the opening goal from Ryan Quinn. I've enjoyed the occasional visits to Paties Road this season, a great bunch of lads but the manager left a few weeks ago and the team is breaking up. ,
  15. I live 20 mins walk from the park but hardly ever drink in Bonnyrigg. If anybody’s coming out from town on the 31 bus my advice is to buy a day ticket, get off at the Laird & Dug at Lasswade and get a couple of jars there. They usually have 2 guest beers on plus they show the lunchtime game if you’re into that. Then you either walk up the brae or hop on the 31 at 2.25 which drops you right at the park. ETA out past Liberton the view of Auld Reekie from upstairs in the bus is magnificent.
