  1. Was at Darvel last week v Camby. 1.30 ko but the lights came on at 2pm as it was a grim day.
  2. Not just for promotion either. LL fixtures on a Saturday are 3pm.
  3. Here’s Station Park, Sept 1997. Baillieston 1 Johnstone Burgh 1. George McCluskey was playing for them.
  4. The situation at WW is specific to the decline of the club and says little about the standard of the LL. Look up how many points they gathered around 2014-17 when the likes of Edinburgh City were in it as well as Spartans and EK, and a strong Stirling Uni who were taking released pros from English clubs on scholarships. But true, the Vale and maybe one or two others would quickly drop right through the EOS Prem.
  5. Denied access to ICT for yet another week. Toddled off down to East Ayrshire for Darvel 5 Cambuslang Rangers 1. South Challenge Cup Rd3. Camby competed well but Premier Darvel had too much quality and punished their sloppy defending. Darvel played the last 30 mins with 10 men, losing their no 3 to 2 rash challenges. Looked interesting as it was 3-1 at the time but Darvel simply stepped up a gear.
  6. Struggling to see the logic here. By 'stronger sides' you mean Cove and EK. In 2016-17 Bonnyrigg knocked Cove out of the Scottish, a year before Cowden beat them in the playoffs. So are Bonnyrigg, currently romping the LL, significantly weaker now, or what?
  7. Yeah there are quite often 3 or 4 near the road halfway between the village and the LNR. Unfortunately it's not really safe to stop the car if you want photos.
  8. He's got a drone business going has he not?
  9. Aye you're right, the summary is P13 G1 but I've just scrolled to the bottom and apparently he has 4 in the LC making 5. Edit... and thanks to CTO his league goal was against County and his LC goals were 1 v DUFC and 3 v Arbroath.
  10. According to Wiki he only scored once in 13 for us. I can remember him getting 2 in the pre-season game at Buckie and wondering if he would be a good signing
  11. I saw him score a couple for Gateshead but that was against Dunston of the Northern League in the FA Cup. Apart from that he’s been at Wrexham, Chesterfield and a loan at Torquay since he left us. His list of clubs reads like a phone book.
  12. Another good try bud but no bites, all the brand tribalism just bores my tits off.
  13. Can hardly remember seeing a Pollok team without Sidey at no 3. Mr Dependable
  14. Lindisfarne Castle last Monday night. The second one is a bit of a selfie of me and my tripod as my mate came walking up the road with a muckle great torch.
  15. Stevo's D610 is decent. Mind you he names every brand except the market leader So for £350 - £400 on MPB you can get the Canon 6D which I had for a few years and was a groundbreaker at the time. It's a good bit lighter if that matters but a personal choice for many people is ergonomics, i.e. how it feels in the hand, so it's better to try and handle a couple of cameras (Sonys are ugly beasts IMO). A budget Canon EF lens or a Sigma and you're all set. If you fancy your hand at astro then the 6D allows you up to 25600 ISO while the 610 only does 6400.
  16. I think he claimed in his book to have been brought up with Shettleston Juniors. Near to Parkheid, but IMO he just latched onto whoever was winning. He seemed to suck Aberdeen's boaby for a while. Never forgave him for chapping doors and lying to the pensioners though.
  17. Haha I bet you had your camera on a pole Nah, for a guy that climbed all the Munros, I had eye surgery 10 years ago next Tuesday after a detached retina. I’ve got double vision and lost all my confidence Plus it was breezy… no much fun on these ladders carrying tripods & stuff.
  18. Stayed a weekend up there in November with the family. Would be a helluva trek for me for a dawn visit. Anyway never really got great conditions either, here's my take on a post sunset shot.
  19. BBC website showing Bonnyrigg v Spartans P-P on Saturday. I think this will come as a surprise to both clubs...
  20. Hard to tell if the Covid affected our players as well as the lack of games. A complete lack of desire it seemed. Really missed the Fermer tbh. He was quality.
  21. Far better ICT teams than this one have struggled at Gayfield over the years. That commentator was as bad as Andy Bannerman. Maybe they just pick a punter at random off the terracing each week.
